Now Sapphire Resort is known to many of our Vacationkids families at the old Paradisus Riviera Cancun Resort. In 2011 AMResorts took over management and after a multi-million dollar refurbishment this property was transformed into Now Sapphire. The style of this property isn't the sleek concrete box style of today's architecture. Instead there is an elegance and tranquility with echos of Mayan influence.
One of the best features to this resort is it's close proximity to Cancun Airport. Just a short 15 minute ride and parents can enjoy the Mayan Riviera relaxed ambiance after a long flight with the kids.
Now Sapphire guests will have their full choice of activities. In addition they can also enjoy the Sip, Savor & See program. This means guests can enjoy dinning at other area AMresorts.
If there are any down sides to this resort or considerations parents need to make it would be....
- Public areas of Now Sapphire are separated by steps, boardwalks and levels to the property so it's not the most stroller friendly and could be a bit difficult to navigate for anyone with mobility issues.
- Now Sapphire beach tends to be grassy. The beach is cleaned frequently by staff but we appreciate this can be an issue for some ocean swimmers. The resort respects the natural ecology. The sea grass offers protection for many sea animals so it cannot be removed.
