Image starting your morning with a view of the sea, the mountains and tropical water gardens. This is how you will start your day at the Melia Puerto Vallarta.

The staff here takes such excellent care of our Vacationkids families. Two features in particular make the Melia Puerto Vallarta an exceptionally family friendly resort. First, it's family of 5 friendly allowing 3 kids to share a room with their parents. Second, it offers a kids club program for babies thru teens making it a very family friendly property.

Sometimes, The Melia Puerto Vallarta might be considered a little TOO friendly...

(Sorry...this was one of those unplanned photo ops that was just too funny not to include.) Seriously, even the youngest guests will be treated to their own check in and special welcome here. From the moment of they arrive, families are made to feel right at home at the Melia Puerto Vallarta.

This resort is just over 300 rooms, all of which offer some sort of beautiful water views.  The Melia Puerto Vallarta offers a jam packed activity schedule geared to please every member of the family regardless of age.  It's location is close to all area sightseeing for families that would like to leave resort (fee).

As part of their all inclusive program, the Melia Puerto Vallarta offers free child care starting with infants from 4 months of age thru teens.  With the kids engaged, cared for and entertained parents know they can look forward to a relaxing vacation.

If there are any down sides to this resort or considerations parents need to make it would be....

-The Melia Puerto Vallarta draws many families with infants and toddlers thanks to their all inclusive child care program. The public areas of this resort have wooden decks that meander thru a tropical water garden full of fish, lizzards and birds that are sure to fascinate youngesters. That said, there are no railings so parents need to supervise little ones at all times when they are in this area of the resort.

- The beach here is small with darker pacific coast sand. Depending on weather conditions and the time of year, it can be rocky so water shoes are suggested. By comparison, not a really great beach for beach lovers but the enormous pool at the Melia Puerto Vallarta balances for a perfect swimming area.
