Hotel Marina El Cid Spa &  Resort in Mexico's Riviera Maya is a family friendly all inclusive resort located just 12 miles south of Cancun airport. All 350 rooms here are suites. Junior, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom suites that will accomodate up to 8 people! This resort is perfect for families who want togetherness.

We sent our Vacationkids colleague Suzie Sturm here to visit and she has since returned here many times. When we asked her impressions of this property, her immediate answer was..."They have a pool here the size of New Jersey!". OK, Maybe not THAT big, but it is a magnificent 22,000 square foot, free form pool that includes waterfalls, children's area, swim-up bar and in-water lounge chairs and sun deck. Smack dab in the middle of this gigantic pool is a waterpark, slide, cliff diving area that stands about three stories high!

There are 4 restaurants, several ounges serving premium liquors and a list of activities geared to please every member of the family.

If there are any down sides to this resort or considerations parents need to make it would be....

-There is a great deal of sea grass in the ocean here. For this reason snorkeling and diving is not offered right off the property here. For environmental protection reasons, the grass cannot be removed to maintain the environment of local sea creatures.
