Grand Palladium Colonial Reviews  Grand Palladium Colonial Reviews

The Grand Palladium Colonial resort has been visited numerous times by our Vacationkids staff since opening in 2002. It offers 414 family friendly rooms and remains a favorite vacation spot for many of our families. It offers parents...

  • Free baby care from age 1
  • Kids club and teen programs
  • Suites are family of 5 friendly
  • Beautiful beach
  • Often offer "kids stay free" deals
  • Affordable pricing making it a great value

Many brochures and websites will use the name Grand Palladium Colonial & Kantenah Resort which can be a little confusing. The Colonial and Kantenah sections were the first resorts to open so their names are often used interchangeably. Many travel wholesale companies do not differentiate between these two resort sections so when your room is booked, we can request a specific resort but we cannot exactly guarantee a room specifically in the Colonial or the Kantenah. Both the Colonial and Kantenah are practically idential. Because each of these sections has their own separate check in lobbies, Vacationkids refers to them as separate resorts.  Again, no matter the exact location of your room, guests are free to use any of the any of the facilities and any of the family friendly resorts at the Grand Palladium Riviera Maya.

If there are any down sides to this resort or considerations parents need to make it would be....

-All guest rooms are located in three story buildings that do not have elevators.

-There are covered wooden bridges with stairs over the large pools and lagoons.  The Grand Palladium Complex is not stroller friendly and not recommended for any guests with mobility issues.

-This is a HUGE property. There are golf cart trains and covered waiting stops but expect lots of walking.
