The Sandos Caracol Eco Resort & Spa hotel is a family friendly oasis located on a beautiful, white sandy beach along the Mayan Riviera. Only 30 minutes south from Cancun’s International Airport and just 15 minutes drive north from downtown Playa del Carmen. This exotic and unique family all inclusive resort offers a collection of 1000 rooms and junior suites scattered through an eco-friendly property. Standard rooms at the Sandos Caracol Eco Resort and spa allow a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children. These rooms offer two double beds or one King Size bed equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fan, Satellite color T.V., clock radio with alarm, telephone, Mini Bar with mineral water, soft drinks and beer (restocked every other day) and safe. Bathrooms have showers (no tubs) and include hair dryers. All Standard rooms offer a balcony or terrace with garden, pool or jungle view.

The Sandos Caracol also offers standard Jr suites that are family of five friendly. This means these rooms will allow 3 children under the age of 12 to share the same room with their parents. It's hard to see from our photo but these Jr. suites are large, open L shaped rooms These spacious suites offer one King Size bed plus living area with one double sofa bed. A rollaway cot is brought in for a third child. All junior suites come with a patio terrace with garden, pool or jungle view and whirlpool/Jacuzzi. Bathroom with shower, including Hair dryer. Air conditioning, ceiling fan, Satellite color T.V., clock radio with alarm, telephone, Mini Bar with mineral water, soft drinks and beer (restocked every other day). Safety box.

The Sandos Caracol Eco Resort and spa recently added the new elite section. These rooms reside in eleven three story buildings close to the beach. With respect to our environment the Sandos elite rooms were built with eco-friendly air conditioners, solar electric and LED lighting and furniture made only from certified forests. Elite rooms offer guests 42 inch plasma TV with satellite, Ipod dock, WiFi, laptop safe, bathrobes, and 24 hour room service.

All elite catagory rooms will accomodate a maximum of either 3 adults or 2 adults with 2 children under 12. Elite guests can choose ocean view superior rooms or Elite Suites. For the ultimate vacation experience, there is an elite penthouse with jacuzzi and oversized terrace.

Suzie says your family is going to want a prime spot to enjoy the gorgeous beach at the Sandos Caracol Eco Resort and Spa. Surround your family with soft white sand and clear blue waters. Beneath the waves is a whole other universe full of colorful, tropical fish and waving corals. Guests enjoy a complimentary snorkeling tour of underwater caves as well as eco-excursions around the property. There is plenty of splashing good times at the Sandos Caracol Resort.

The Sandos Caracol Resort offrers guests a Water Sports Center with 5 stars padi dive center offering all level courses and water sport specialities (fees) like discovery scuba diving, ocean dives, cavern dives, snorkeling tours, Deep Sea fishing, Katamaran, jet skies and parasailing. Non motorized water sports are included as part of the resort's all inclusive program. Guests are free to enjoy a swim in 2 large swimming pools with separate children's area, introductory diving lesson in swimming pool, use of snorkeling equipment, Windsurfing, Kayaking, hobbie cats and Boogie Boards.

Kids will LOVE the Aqua Park which is part of the all inclusive program at the Sandos Caracol Eco Resort and Spa. This waterpark is open daily weather permitting from 10am until 5pm. It offers a variety of water play areas, including 17 water slides, raining palm trees, a large water splash bucket area and water spouts scattered throughout the park. Parents must accompany their children in the Aqua park.

Besides the great waterpark, the Sandos Caracol Resort also offers a kid club open daily from 10am until 10pm for children ages 4 - 12 years old. Childen can play and enjoy age appropriate activities like dance lessons, sandcastle building, beach Olympics, water balloon tag, face painting, arts and crafts, sack races, movies, table tennis, bingo, football, a mini disco, fashion shows, pinata party games, board games, kayaking trips, water aerobics, archery, croquet, and water volleyball. Activities are supervised and guided by the watchful eyes of the Sandos Annimation team.

Children ages 2 and 3 years of age are allowed into the kids club between the hours of 10am to 1pm and again from 3pm to 6pm. Parent must remain on resort property while their children are in the kids club. Private babysitting can be arranged in advance with concierge for a fee of $15 per child. Supervised teen activities are also available from 10am until 9pm for kids ages 13-17.
