Since 2002, the resorts of the Grand Palladium Riviera Maya Resort Complex have been favorites of Vacationkids families. Now with all their latest innovations, they have become more popular than ever. The Grand Palladium Riviera Maya Resort Complex is located just 5 minutes from the village of Akumal, about 1.5 hours drive from Cancun airport and 25 minutes south of Playa Del Carmen.

The Grand Palladium Riviera Maya Resort complex is made up of five different all inclusive resorts that share the same large piece of property. This beautiful jungle oasis hugs one of the most beautiful stretches of long white sand beaches in the Riviera Maya. The four family friendly resorts in the Grand Palladium Complex. The 414 rooms of the Grand Palladium Colonial and the 422 rooms at the Grand Palladium Kantenah resorts are mirror image of one another. These were the original resorts built in 2002. These resorts offer standard and junior suite rooms as well as honeymoon suites. In 2009 three additional all suite resorts were added to the complex. The 264 rooms at the Grand Palladium White Sands Resorts and the 324 rooms at The Grand Palladium Resorts both offer Jr and one bedroom Suites for families. The Grand Palladium White Sands also offers 12 adult only Mayan water villa suites. Again the four Palladium resorts that are family friendly are the Grand Palladium Colonial and Katenah that offer standard and jr suite rooms as well as the Grand Palladium White Sands and Riviera all suite resorts that offer Jr suites and One bedroom suites. Families staying at any one of these four resorts can use the all inclusive features at any of these properties. Junior suite and one bedroom suites in any of the family resorts of the Grand Palladium are family of five friendly. This means 3 kids under the age of twelve can share one of these rooms with their parents.

There is also the 130 adult only rooms at the Royal Suites Yucatan within the Grand Palladium Complex. Think of this as a resort within a resort. Adults staying at the Royal Suites Yucatan are the only ones allowed to use the facilities at the Royal suites but they can also take full advantage of everything in the complex. Even though Vacationkids caters to families, we can also sell the Grand Palladium Royal Suites upon request.

The first thing that strikes you when enter the Grand Palladium Resort Complex is the feeling that you just found the most perfect tropical oasis. Lush, tropical gardens and ponds surrounded by tropical vegetation greet visitors. The architecture of the Palladium has been totally integrated into the natural surroundings. Native plants have been conserved in marked off areas. The resort property is home to 29 different plant species, all used by Maya Shamans for therapeutic purposes, 42 species of birds and 40 species of mammals, some of which have been declared to be in danger of extinction. A walk along the hotel’s “ecological” paths provides a chance to observe many of the species that live in the complex. A visit to the orchidiary in spring is an opportunity to sense colours and magic of these exotic flowers. Even the most minute details of the hotel’s facilities have been taken care of to give the complex a unique style that makes it different. The result is the harmony of the facilities and its surroundings.

Parents and kids have their choice of 8 swimming pools, a gorgeous beach and all sorts of non motorized water sports like snorkeling and kayaks. Other activities include aerobics, ping pong, volleyball, tennis, archery, mini golf and eco tours of the resort property

The Grand Palladium Resort Complex offers activities for kids of all ages staying at their four family friendly resorts. The Baby club is open daily from 9am to 8pm and welcomes babies from 12 to 36 months. Parents are required to supply necessary gear like diapers and formula. Little ones have both a separate indoor and outdoor play areas. Parents must remain on Palladium Resort property while their babies are in the baby club.

El Ranchito kids club is open daily 9am to 11pm for kids ages 4-12 years of age. Kids and their new friends can enjoy crafts, contest, video games, movies and property tours. The kids club staff also takes the kids to visit all the animals found on property like flamingos, ducks and even crocodiles.

The Black and White Junior club is open from 11am to midnight daily for teens over the age of 13. Here teens have their own supervised activities, video and computer games.
