The Azul Sensatori Hotel is a five star, luxury resort ideal for parents, grandparents children who want to vacation together. This is not your typical family all inclusive resort. A vacation here comes with a higher priced tag compared to other area family resorts. That said, it offers great value per dollar and a fun filled return on your vacation investment. The Azul Sensatori Hotel is ideal for families that appreciate the finer things that life has to offer. Vacationkids President Sally Black recently visited and returned with rave reviews from this gorgeous property. As the name implies, there is something here to delight every one of the senses. It is ideally located in the beautiful "Bahia Petempich" in Riviera Maya, Mexico, Just 20 minutes south of Cancun International Airport, 25 minutes south from Cancun's famous hotel zone and 35 minutes north of Playa del Carmen. It is part of the Karisma Hotel chain and a sister resort to nearby Azul Beach Hotel and Azul Fives as well as the private Azul Carola Villa

At the Azul Sensatori Hotel guests will immediately sense a feeling of being embraced by the sea. As the name of this family resort implies, there is something found here to delight all the senses. Think modern style, sophistication, luxury and with a huge helping of wow factor. The lobby offers furniture shaped like ocean waves. In the evening, the lighting illuminates to look like giant jellyfish. The kids will wonder at the huge aquarium. Being surrounded with so much creativity and imagination certainly makes for a great first impression...but it just keeps getting better.

The Azul Sensatori Hotel offers 438 spacious and luxurious suites housed within it's contemporary style buildings. When comparing it to other Riviera Maya family resorts, Sally told us it reminded us of Goldilocks....not too big, not to small but JUST right. Logistically this resort is smart and compact. It offers plenty of family friendly amenities, lots of space but you don't need a shuttle bus to get around. It is shaped like the letter W separating family suites to the left and adult only areas to the right. In the middle is this huge, expansive refreshing pool that also offers togetherness and separate areas for adults and children. The resort if very easy to navigate. Each of the 4 story buildings has elevators. The entire complex is stroller friendly straight down to the beach.

The Azul Sensatori Hotel offers guests an long, white sand beach and sparkling, Caribbean blue waters. The beach isn't very wide but it is packed full of fun including a playground for the kids and private bed beds for parents. These beach beds can be reserved in advance with the beach butlers. Your beach butler will bring you fresh towels, drinks and snacks. Sally told us these beds were her one of her favorite spots in the entire resort. They were SO comfortable that her family never wanted to leave. If you do want to move there is plenty of activities that are included at the Azul Sensatori Hotel....kayaks, non motorized water sports, snorkeling, scuba lessons, Spanish classes, yoga, Spa (fees), tennis, fitness center, cooking classes, volleyball, soccer games, shuffle board, ping pong, giant chess, beach parties and nightly entertainment

The Azul Sensatori Hotel is committed to serving fresh, local, ORGANIC resort food grown at the El Dorado, their sister adult hotel. You won't find long buffet lines serving mystery meat here. Instead your marvel at their culinary theater with mouthwatering dishes created fresh by their chefs. Besides 24 hour room service, guests at the Azul Sensatori Hotel have their choice of 6 restaurants...

Zocalo Restaurant - A vibrant celebration of Mexican food and entertainment Brunch/Lunch 10:30am to 4:30pm and dinner -5:30pm to 10pm

Zavaz Restaurant - Caribbean bistro and lounge Breakfast -6:30am to 11am, lunch -12:30pm to 3pm and dinner - 5:30pm to 10pm

Tapaz Restaurant - Culinary theater dining where Chefs not only cook the food but they personally present each meal. Family style setting. Open for dinner from 5:30pm to 10:30pm.

Spoon Restaurant - Interactive cooking stations so guests can watch as the chefs prepare their meal. Breakfast -6:30am to 11am, lunch - 12:30pm to 3pm and dinner 5:30pm to 10pm

Sienna Restaurant - Authentic Tuscan restaurant. Marked by genuine Italian flavors prepared with the freshest ingredients, splendid wines and unsurpassed service. Open for dinner from 5:30pm to 10:30pm.

Le Chique - Adults-only restaurant featuring the notable "Authors Dinner". Open for dinner from 6pm to 10pm.

In addition all of the hotels 9 bars and lounges offer local and selected international premium alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and juices

The Azul Sensatori Hotel offers over a dozen different room category choices based on upgraded amenities and location. Adult rooms are available in separate buildings on the opposite side of the property from the family areas. All suites include: Jacuzzi, smoke detector, television, mini-bar, safety deposit box, sprinkler system, air conditioning, ceiling fan, CD/DVD player, hairdryer, shower, alarm clock, coffee/tea maker, telephone and internet access. This resort does offer family suites that will sleep up to 5 people with a private sleeping area for parents. In addition, there are guaranteed adjoining suites that will accommodate up to 6 people. Please know family of five suites and guaranteed adjoining rooms are always the first to sell out so book early to avoid disappointment.

The Azul Sensatori makes it easy to vacation with little ones. Upon request, rooms can be readied with cribs and changing tables. Even baby monitors and strollers are available for parents to use at this resorts.

As speaking of the kids, fair warning...you may not see much of them during your family vacation at the Azul Sensatori. This property boasts one of the biggest and best-est kids club in the entire Riviera Maya. To begin, there is a huge splash park fit for kids of all ages. Families can enjoy hours of cool fun here.

The kids club at the Azul Sensatori Hotel is a huge, fun complex designed with your child's health and safety in mind. Parents will certainly be impressed by these facilities while their children can experience hours of fun.

For children from 6 months to 3 years old there is the Azulitos area within the kids club where little ones are welcome to come and play with their parents. There are daily activities, story time, my gym programs and play groups but children under the age of 4 MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times while in the kids club. There is also a Fisher Price Toy lending program so parents don't need to schlepp a huge bag of toys from home. Toys can be signed out and taken to the beach, pool or room and simply returned when you're done. Private babysitting is available at a cost of $10 per hour and must be arranged in advance with the concierge.

Kids ages 4-12 are welcome to enjoy the supervised kids club .It is part of the all inclusive program and open daily from 9am until 5pm. There is a break for dinner and the club re-opens from 7:30pm until 9:30pm so that parents are free to enjoy a romantic dinner or some of the nightly entertainment. There is a huge open My Gym area for tumbling fun which is surrounded by separate fun areas for plenty of specific fun. There is a pink girl's room fit for your little princess where tea parties abound. There is a game room for the little dudes and even a nap time area for a little rest after a hard day of play.

The Azul Sensatori Hotel also offers the Breeze Teen program for kids ages 13-17 years of age. Teens have their own fully supervised lounge with video games, internet access and DJ gear. Sports, rock climbing, playstation, Xbox and Wii as well as an interactive gaming room will help teens make new friends
