Readers here may think that because our site and business is named VacationKids that we only do vacations with kids. That could not be further from reality.   We have worked with families for so many years that the toddlers that enjoyed their first view of the ocean with our help are now adults - getting married, having babies, and looking for an escape from the everyday for some friend therapy.

Finding the right family vacation is not as easy as it may sounds.

Many people hate the idea of spending money on insurance - whether it's for home, car, health, etc - until they need it. Then they are so grateful to have the coverage.  Travel insurance is much the same -- you hope you’ll never need to use it, but let’s face it, your vacation is an investment in your family - don’t you want to insure it the way you would your car?

As our children grow up, we delight in taking them for big and little trips - whether it's a weekend at the shore, a week at the mountains, or big family trip to a theme park.  When children get to middle and high school, planning family vacation becomes much more difficult - extra curricular activities, sports, dating, after school jobs and teenage angst all create hurdles to enjoying family time longer than dinner together on Sunday evening.

I’m going to come right out and own that I am hitting a milestone this year.  Yes, finally 25! (well, something like that anyway). And of course, many of my friends are hitting this same milestone.
