The Moon  Palace Cancun resort complex is a renown, perennial favorite for families staying in the Sunrise, The Moon and Nizuc sections of this massive property.  The Moon Palace complex is located just 5 miles south of Cancun airport, nestled on 55 lush tropical gardens, a signature golf course, conference facilities and totals 2314 deluxe rooms and suites most with ocean or partial ocean views.  This small resort "city" is surprisingly easy to navigate with trams and carts passing every couple of minutes.

MSC Seaside For Families

The MSC Seaside is a high tech megaship that families will love.  It is, however, very different from its other contemporary cruise line competitors like Carnival, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean.

Although the MSC Seaside was built specifically with families in mind and sails from Miami, it caters to a very international audience.  It's an Italian ship with a very European flair.  If you're looking to mix and mingle with lots of American family cruisers, this is not the ship for you. If you would like your children to be exposed to people from many different cultures speaking different languages then you are certainly the right fit for this ship.

In this review I've listed 17 things families will enjoy on board the MSC Seaside that may be a little different if you've sailed on other family cruises....

1. Kids Sail Free

On MSC Cruises, kids 17 and under sail free on select sailings, based on availability, when sharing a stateroom with two other guests. Don't expect this deal on busy school holiday sailings but if you can sail off season it's a phenomenal deal. On other sailings, children 11 and under sail free, while those 12 to 17 sail at a significantly discounted rate. And children under 2 years of age always sail free as a third or fourth guests. Remember, Uncle Sam never gives you a free ride from taxes, even for kids so you'll need to pay the kid's taxes.

Many people hate the idea of spending money on insurance - whether it's for home, car, health, etc - until they need it. Then they are so grateful to have the coverage.  Travel insurance is much the same -- you hope you’ll never need to use it, but let’s face it, your vacation is an investment in your family - don’t you want to insure it the way you would your car?

As our children grow up, we delight in taking them for big and little trips - whether it's a weekend at the shore, a week at the mountains, or big family trip to a theme park.  When children get to middle and high school, planning family vacation becomes much more difficult - extra curricular activities, sports, dating, after school jobs and teenage angst all create hurdles to enjoying family time longer than dinner together on Sunday evening.
