I can fondly remember the vacations I took with my family as a kid. We would take road trips to the National Parks or to the ocean– which for me was much more fun than an amusement park. I can proudly say that I have been to 38 states. My family and I are working on all 50.
I can remember trying to climb up the side of the mountains in the Badlands. Driving up Mount Washington in New Hampshire and watching Old Faithful go off in Yellowstone. Standing at the bottom of Mt. Rushmore staring in awe at how something like that can be done. Going and seeing the magnificent Redwood trees in California and staying at the base of a mountain in Montana at Glacier Park, or hiking up the blue lake trail head in Okanogan National Forest in Washington. The water there was crystal blue and beautiful and well worth the hike up the mountain. These are memories and experiences my family and I will never ever forget.
Fast forward I now have 2 children of my own. I can't wait to explore and share with them some of the wonderful and great places that I've visited and enjoy them experiencing those moments of awe and wonder. I want to see their faces for the first time when they experience the Ocean or looking out over the great expanse of the Grand Canyon.
