Family Vacation Tips

Let's pretend you've decided to throw a fabulous party.  Imagine what would happen if you simply got up at that very moment and went food shopping? 

You would have no idea who is coming so you wouldn't know how much food to buy. You haven't set a date so your food might spoil before your guests arrive. Chances are you'd wander up and down the aisles aimlessly.  This scenario is a recipe for complete disaster and a total exercise in frustration. You're probably thinking...this is completely silly -right?

Book Early!...Simple, that's all there is to it.

If you're planning to take a family cruise with a teenager you're in for a fun time. OK, there may be just a hint of sarcasm behind that opening line.

Much as been written about the benefits of breast feeding your child. Actually breastfeeding while on a family vacation with your baby can be much easier than formula feeding. Maternity leave is one of the rare times in life that many moms are able to take extended time off from work. It's an excellent opportunity to take a vacation.  Lactating moms have a portable solution to give their child all the nutritional requirements nature intended while providing a constant and familiar source of comfort. Even so, there are a few considerations you may want to take into account before leaving home.

  American Express resports that 1 in every 4 people are not protected by travelers insurance when they travel.  The Association Of British Travel Agents concurs stating millions are putting themselves at risk of sky high medical bills, with nearly one in four (24%) of travellers holidaying abroad without travel insurance, representing a notable increase from one in five (20%) in 2011.

  The Paradisus Cancun is one of the newest offerings on Cancun's Hotel Zone. It opened it's doors December 2012. It offers parents two vacation options that are often hard to find. First it is a luxury, family friendly resort. Normally parents have to sacrifice luxury surroundings and services if they want a family friendly atmosphere.  Secondly, it offers a one of the most sought after options in family travel today...a baby club with nannies caring for children ages 1- 4 years of age.

  Families are ALWAYS looking for affordable family vacations.  They want vacationkids to help them to save some money. They ask us to find them a "great deal".
