Paradisus Cancun  The Paradisus Cancun is one of the newest offerings on Cancun's Hotel Zone. It opened it's doors December 2012. It offers parents two vacation options that are often hard to find. First it is a luxury, family friendly resort. Normally parents have to sacrifice luxury surroundings and services if they want a family friendly atmosphere.  Secondly, it offers a one of the most sought after options in family travel today...a baby club with nannies caring for children ages 1- 4 years of age.

Actually, the Paradisus Cancun has been known for the past 26 years as the Grand Melia Cancun. It received a multi million dollar upgrade while it still was the Melia in 2006.  Under the Melia name is has won many AAA 4 diamond awards and is part of Perferred Hotels of the World. Last year it was announced that this resort would be upgraded to a Paradisus Property and underwent another 8 million dollar upgrade in order to bring it up to the Paradisus standards. The bulk of the monies were spent on energy efficiency controlled systems, elevators and restaurants. Many of the upgrades involved family services and comforts. Investments were made to create new check-in lounge in main lobby, a new family concierge check-in lounge, a new kids zone area, four new restaurants for a total of eight, two new bars for a total of six, one new Red Lounge (Music Bar), a redesign of two restaurants. New air conditioning systems, energy efficiency control systems installed, 10 out of 12 new elevators installed, new pipelines installed, and the exterior and interior of the building has been painted. In addition, more than 30 new Wi-Fi antennas were installed in order to provide the resort full Wi-Fi coverage.

Paradisus CancunThe interior and exterior designs of the Paradisus Cancun are elegent, unique and trendy. This resort consists of 5 glass pyramids offering bright daylight to it's interior. The largest, middle pyramid takes advantage of it's sunlit ceilings with amazing 9 story hanging gardens. Tropical foliage and vines cascade down to the lush gardens, palms and fish ponds at ground level. This garden is a preferred spot for family destination weddings along with the beach gazebo. No worries about mother nature spoiling any of the wedding ceremony or festivities here. Either way, brides and grooms are guaranteed a beautiful and romantic location.

Paradisus Cancun The Paradisus Cancun is an all suite resort. Basically their are 4 room types and most hold a maximum of 4 people. Regular suites are one large room with a king bed and open seating area with a fold out couch. 1 bedroom suites are just as the name suggests...there is a king bed room and bath connected by a door to a private living room with fold out sofa. Guest have the choice to purchase any of these rooms in with lagoon or ocean views.  In addition to the standard services, guests can upgrade their level of service with family concierge service or Red Level Service. There is also Royal Service for the adult only rooms.

Paradisus Cancun One of the best features for families at the Paradisus Cancun is the new baby club. It is a complimentary service that is part of their all inclusive program. Here trained nannies will care from kids ages 1-4 years of age between the hours of 9am to 9:30pm.

In addition there is a kids club for children ages 5-12. Here kids will enjoy age appropriate activities like games, crafts, video games and movies while under supervised care.

paradisus Cancun The Beach at the Paradisus Cancun is truly stunning. White sands and crystal waters in every shade of blue. If there is one drawback to this resort, it is that the surf here can be rough like our photos here shows. That said there are 4 pools at the Paradisus covering almost 5 acres complete with beach beds and pool side service.

Baby friendly resorts are in short supply and high demand. We're so pleased that the Paradisus Cancun offers and option for young families looking for a luxury all inclusive resort vacation.
