On-Site Theme Park Hotels at Universal Orlando ResortUniversal Orlando Resort is now comprised of 3 major theme parks and 5 on-site or "in the park" hotels.  Besides location and convenience, each of these Universal park hotels offer additional features and benefits for their guests.

So which is the best Universal Orlando Resort hotel?....that all depends. Trying to find the answer to this question often leaves travelers on a roller coaster ride of twists, turns and internet searches.

The good news is there are no wrong answers when choosing an on site Universal Orlando resort hotel for your vacation stay.  You and your family will have a wonderful vacation experience stay at any one of these properties. Finding the perfect fit simply requires comparison shopping and perhaps some compromise between family members.

Your friend at Vacationkids have compiled a comparison chart on each Universal Orlando resort hotel. The list of features and benefits was comprised from clients frequently asked questions.  This "at a glance" chart will easily help you weigh the pros and cons and figure out the best place for you to stay.

universal orlando resorts differences

Starting prices here were taken from low season September rates. All hotel prices are affected by supply and demand. High season rates usually come into play during whenever kids are on break from school and during the holidays. High season rates can increase significantly. Just as an example, Cabana Bay standard room rates jump to $175 per night during the Christmas/New Years holiday week.  REMEMBER - these rates here are for hotel rooms only and do not include admission tickets to the parks!

All Universal Orlando on site hotels do offer upgraded room options, including family suites. These suites are perfect for larger families of 5. They work great for kids with early bedtimes and for parents looking for a bit more "privacy/romance"...if you catch our drift.  Most family suites consist of a king bed room connected by a door to a kids room with 2 double beds.

These suites are perfect for keeping the family together because they are "guaranteed" connecting rooms. That is the feature you are paying for.  If you book two separate standard rooms, we can "request" that they be connecting but it is never guaranteed. In this case it is completely up to availability and discretion of the hotel at the time of your check in.  As you can imagine there are a LOT of parents with 3 kids so these rooms are always in high demand.  For this reason we HIGHLY suggest that you book your rooms 1 year to 9 months in advance for the best selection and to avoid disappointments.  We can always add flights onto your reservation once they become available (usually about 300 days out).  Booking ahead also means you can save money by taking advantage of our free vacation layaway.

Cabana Bay does offer 2 bedroom suites that will sleep up to 6. These Family Suites offer 2 bathrooms and sleeping for 6 - a bedroom with a  flat screen TV and 2 queen beds. There is a sliding privacy opaque door into a living area with a double sleeper sofa and small kitchenette.  Low season one of these 2 bedroom suites will run about $325 per night.

One last tip...Did you know if you book with one of our Vacationkids Travel agents you'll be paying the same price for your Universal Orlando vacation as if  you booked it online yourself?

The difference is that you'll have the extra benefit of working with a travel agent, a real person to answer any and all travel questions you may have. A professional who has visited and knows the parks. Someone who can help customize your family's vacation experience. You'll also get tips and tricks for daily itinerary planning that can save you hours of line standing in the parks.  Think of your vacationkids travel agent as your tour guide who can lead you to the perfect Universal Orlando vacation experience.
