Disney BirthdaysI absolutely love celebrating birthdays!  And what better place to celebrate your birthday, a family members birthday, or a friends birthday than at Walt Disney World!

You can go on your birthday, in your birthday month, celebrate early, celebrate late, or do a combined family or friend birthday celebration!  (I even recommend celebrating your half birthday, why not!)  This past year, on November 18, 2013, Mickey Mouse celebrated his 85th birthday, you could have been in Disney then or maybe you can go next year!

Perhaps you have decided to really splurge for your birthday celebration, in that case there are two things I would highly recommend, but be prepared to spend!  For your little prince or princess you can celebrate with a private character dining experience.  You can expect to spend around $800 for this experience.  For the adult birthdays a fancy dinner at Victoria and Albert's, which is located at the Grand Floridian, could be just the thing for your magical birthday experience in Walt Disney World.  You can expect to spend at least $60 per adult to start.  We understand if you skip the gifts, these experience's can be gifts themselves!

For a middle of the road birthday experience you can preorder a cake for the end of your meal or special order a cake from the Cake Hotline, (407) 827-2253.  If the restaurant offers a birthday cake, you can choose a six inch vanilla or chocolate cake for about $25, this would easily serve a party of four.  If you call the cake hotline, the sky is the limit, you dream it, they will make it.  When it's time for presents allow the birthday girl or boy to choose an item or two or three from any of the shops in the parks or resorts or take a special trip to Downtown Disney for some birthday shopping.

If you have hit your limited budget on the resort and park tickets for your trip to Disney and find that you need to save money somewhere, we have a solution for that, too.  Plan a pool party at your resort with your family.  You can run to the grocery store or have groceries delivered to your Disney resort, just make sure your order includes a cake or cupcakes and candles for the birthday girl or boy.  Do some birthday gift shopping before you arrive in Disney, bring the presents along for an extra surprise and a little savings.

There are so many ways to make the birthday girl or boy feel special and important.  You'll receive a birthday pin when you arrive at your resort (provided they are informed about the birthday) and or you can wear a shirt letting everyone know it's your birthday!  You can have your room decorated (for a fee) and know that you might get picked out of a crowd to participate in shows like Belle's Fairytale if they see your birthday pin.  Let the person celebrating choose a restaurant to eat at, pick the park for the day, and or choose the rides and shows for the day.  You can book a birthday party in Downtown Disney or have an In-Room Celebration.  There are even Princess Gifts and Pirate Gifts that you can purchase for the birthday guest.  A Disney birthday is definitely a birthday that everyone will remember and enjoy!

We want to hear about your Disney birthday celebrations!  Have you ordered a cake from the cake hotline?  Tell us about your cakes, send us pictures, too!
