who is going on a Walt Disney World VacationUsually the most common answer to this simple question is, with your kids, but this is not always the case.

People visit Disney for business conferences, school trips, to attend special events, for special celebrations, people meet up with friends and yes, some people even go by themselves!  I have a lot of friends who take their kids to Disney and bring their parents along, too!  Remember Sally's blog about PUNKS and PANKS?  Guess who they take to Disney!  Families come in all shapes and sizes and Vacationkids can help any family, group, or singleton plan and enjoy a magical vacation to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani, or a Disney Cruise!

The trick here is when you ARE planning any type of Disney Vacation, you really do need to have some idea of who is going with you.  The reason for this is because the number of people going and their ages can affect things like your choice of hotel, the specific room that will fit everyone comfortably and of course, how much your visit will cost.

I have been to Disney with my family!  My first visit to Disney was with my Mom and Dad when I was only two!  My most recent visit was with my two daughters and my Mom.  When my girls are older I would love to take them each separately on a Mother/Daughter trip to Disney.  There are even families that plan their family reunions in Disney, those are fun memorable reunions!

I have been to Disney for work!  We try to visit the parks a few times a year to try the newest rides, shows, and dining opportunities.  It's important to us that we are able to share our experiences with future guests to Disney.

This year Vacationkids attended two travel agent conferences that were both held at Walt Disney World. Every year there are various conventions held in and around the Disney park areas.  Many of the attendants to these conventions will get passes to visit the parks while they are in town and or decide to add on some vacation time with their family before or after the convention.

I have been to Disney for a school related event!  I was in the color guard in High School and we had the opportunity to attend a competition in Orlando.  We traveled by bus, stayed in a good neighbor hotel, and visited the parks while we were there.  Every year high school groups and various groups, like dance groups, visit Disney for competitions and a little fun in the parks.

I've been to the parks with friends and I have friends who have gone by themselves to Disney!  Disney is a great place to reunite with friends who may live in various parts of the country.  You can have fun in the parks, relax at the resort, and enjoy some fabulous meals together.  If you're heading to Disney as a solo traveler, you can enjoy your time alone or meet up with other solo travelers.  Check out the Disboards and see if there are any groups you may want to meet up with in Disney!
