Shows At Disney Animal KingdomDo you want to experience something amazing?  Do you want to have something to talk about with your kids over dinner in Disney?  Lead the way and head on over to Animal Kingdom and check out one, two, or three amazing shows!

Disney Animal Kingdom is more than just a safari park. True the animals are amazing and Disney does make you feel like you really are out on the African Savannah. There are also plenty of attractions that you can ride and enjoy. These features are often the priority for most families who visit but if you don't allow time to enjoy the wonderful shows here, you'll be missing a lot.

As the name implies, there are lots of animals in this park!  For that reason, this park also closes before the other Walt Disney World parks.  That way the animals will have time to rest before the next set of guests arrive in the morning.  At Vacationkids we recommend you arrive as soon as Animal Kingdom opens to get a peak at some fantastic animals. Early birds to Disney Animal Kingdom will have plenty of time to enjoy the magical shows here!

Finding Nemo - The Musical

I have lost count of how many times I have seen this show!  Believe me if you love the movie, you will love this musical!  The show runs about 30 minutes in an enclosed theater.  This is a great place for a break from the sun.  It is located in DinoLand USA, which is located to your right as you enter Animal Kingdom heading towards the Tree of Life.  The seats are not incredibly comfortable, but at least there is a back rest to lean on while you watch.  It does get dark so be sure to warn the little ones if they get scared.

Festival of the Lion King

I absolutely love the crowd interaction that this show offers!  You won't want to miss a single minute of this show, but you will need to see it more than once, from every angle!  The audience is seated on wooden backless benches around the entire room with the show taking place in the center of the room.  From the singing, to the acrobatics you are sure to enjoy this 30 minute show.  As you enter the park and head towards the Tree of Life you will find this show located to the left in Camp Minnie-Mickey.  Everyone should be ready to participate!

Flights of Wonder

The birds will take your breath away at this show!  If you are afraid of birds, this may be just the show to see to overcome those fears!  This show is located in Asia, which is to the back right of the park as you head towards the Tree of Life from the entrance.  Guests sit in an outdoor shaded theater on backless benches.  A bird trainer and explorer teach you about a few species of birds and discuss conservation as well.  This is a great educational opportunity for you and your family!

All three of these shows run throughout the day, simply check your Animal Kingdom times guide for the schedule and times, but be advised that times are subject to change and because Flights of Wonder is outside chances are it will be cancelled if the weather is unfavorable.  You do not need reservations for any of these shows, but if you want to sit near the front plan to arrive early and wait for the doors to open.  At the end of the day you and your family are sure to have plenty to talk about!

Have you seen any of these shows?  Tell us about your favorite show at Animal Kingdom!
