Disney Pop CenturyDisney Pop Century is a Walt Disney World Value Resort that opened December 14, 2003!

Located at 1050 Century Drive, Lake Buena Vista, Florida, Disney Pop Century is a tribute to the 1950's, 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's. Throughout the property you will find lots of fun memorabilia and icons from each decade. It offers wonderful walks down memory lane for some family members. It also offers plenty of conversation starters to bridge generation gaps.

Disney Pop Century features 2,800 rooms in ten four-story Disney themed buildings. The buildings are equipped with stair cases and elevators.  There is also a building known as "Classic Hall" where you will find the front desk, the food court, the arcade, and a gift shop.  The resort also has three themed pool areas, a kiddie pool for the smaller kids, and a playground.

Disney Pop CenturyThe rooms are what you would expect of a standard hotel room.  They feature two double beds, a table with two chairs, a dresser, a nightstand, a TV, a refrigerator, and a bathroom area.  The tub/shower and toilet are separated from the sink area by a door.  For privacy a curtain can be pulled when the sink/closet area is being used.  Each room also contains a safe, hairdryer, and free Wi-Fi.

Some rooms do feature connecting doors between the rooms if you require more than one room and want easy access to other family members. Please keep in mind this is a request and cannot be guaranteed.

The largest pool is known as the Hippy Dippy Pool and is located in the 1960's area.  You will also find the newly renovated kiddie pool right next to this pool.  At night you can watch a movie under the stars by this pool.  In the 1950's section you will find a smaller pool known as the Bowling Pool.  The other small pool, known as the Computer Pool is located in the 1990's section.

disney pop centuryIf you're hungry head over to Classic Hall and enjoy food from seven different serving stations. The food here is tasty, quick and you'll surely find something to please even the pickiest of eaters. My personal favorite is their gigantic rice krispie treats that are so beautifully decorated. Stop by Petals Pool Bar for a snack or enjoy some in-room pizza delivery as well.  If you need to pick up a few souvenirs, stop by the gift shop.  For additional fun play a few games at the Fast Forward Arcade or enjoy the playground with the kids.

There is bus transportation to all four parks, the water parks, and Downtown Disney.  Buses usually run every twenty minutes.  You will also have access to the Magical Express to and from your resort and the airport.  Should you feel the need to run simply head out your door and follow the trail around hourglass lake.  This man made lake can be found between Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort.

Speaking of Disney's Art of Animation Resort, did you know that this was originally slated to be the location of the Legendary Years for Disney's Pop Century Resort.  It would have depicted the 1900's, 10's, 20's, 30's, and 40's.  Due to the attacks on September 11th, the Legendary Years were never completed, the resort was redesigned and on May 31, 2012 the suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort opened.

When you visit Disney's Pop Century Resort be sure to check out the Roger Rabbit statue, the giant Laptop, the Mickey Mouse phone, the Transistor radio, and the Baloo and Mowgli statue.  Can you guess which decade each of these items belong too?
