Disney Dining PlanAre you a foodie?  If you are, then a Disney Dining Plan is a must!

We need to eat and some of us LOVE to eat!  I always say that I run so I can eat whatever I want.  Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and the ever important snacks are at your disposal when you purchase a Disney Dining Plan.  It may seem overwhelming at first, maybe you're skeptical, the truth is, the plans are actually easy to follow and once you've tried them chances are, you'll want to try them again.

If food truly is a major part of your life and thus a vacation must, you should consider the Magic Your Way Deluxe Dining Plan.  This plan includes three full-service or counter-service meals per day, two snacks per day, and a refillable drink mug.  With a little planning you can eat your way through the parks and extend your pallet in a few days.

My favorite plan is the Magic Your Way Plus Dining Plan, which includes one snack per day, one counter-service meal per day, one full-service meal per day, and a refillable drink mug.  Usually we will use our snack credit for breakfast.  At lunch we sit down for a nice full-service meal to recharge our batteries and fuel up for the second half of our day.  A counter-service meal is great at dinner time, because we can grab a quick bite before heading off to see a night time parade or show.

The Quick-Service Dining Plan includes one snack per day, two counter-service meals per day, and a refillable drink mug.  This plan is great when you are traveling with kids whose restaurant manners are not up to par or altogether  nonexistent.  The faster you eat, the faster you play, so if you are not spending time on a long meal, you can enjoy more rides and shows in the parks.

Once you understand how the Dining Plans at Walt Disney World work you can rest easy that you will have one less thing to worry about as you make your way through the parks.  You can also visit some of the other Disney Resorts for a meal and check them out when you are finished eating.  The cook and the dishwasher in your family can relax because all the meals will be taken care of.  Added bonus, maybe you wouldn't typically get a dessert with your meal, but with the dining plans a dessert is included, so go for it!

If you really want to maximize your vacation plans at Walt Disney World, you can even look into the Premium and Platinum Plus Dining Plans that Walt Disney World has to offer.  The possibilities are truly endless when it comes to Disney.  Some of the best and most memorable meals I've eaten have been at Disney parks and resorts.  At Yak & Yeti in the Animal Kingdom I had a Seared Tuna Salad and Wontons that were to die for, this was a great full-service meal!  My favorite counter-service meal came from Sunshine Seasons in Epcot where I ordered an Oak-Grilled Vegetable Flatbread Sandwich, YUM!

Do you have a favorite Disney Restaurant?  Have you used the Dining Plans?
