Vacationkids offers retail travel services to customers, which are provided by separate and independent suppliers of travel services. Vacationkids does not operate, control, or otherwise provide the services of the independent travel vendors. Hence, customer agrees that Vacationkids acts only as agent for the client in acquiring transportation, hotel accommodations, sightseeing and other privileges or services for the clients’ benefit, and on the express condition that Vacationkids shall not be responsible for any loss, accident, injury, act of God, delay, defect, omission or irregularity which may occur or be occasioned, whether by reason of any act, negligence or default of any company or person engaged in or responsible for carrying out any of the arrangements, or otherwise in connection therewith.
The role of Vacationkids is to facilitate the sale of travel, collect funds on the client’s behalf, and then remit those funds to the travel suppliers. If there is a problem with the reservation, the client’s recourse would be against the suppler and not against Vacationkids. The client hereby agrees not to initiate any credit card charge backs against Vacationkids. In addition, Vacationkids has no special knowledge of any supplier’s financial condition and hence has no liability for a supplier’s failure or their policies regarding their terms regarding travel vouchers or the recommendation for future travel credits.
Traveler Responsibility: It is the responsibility of the traveler to check all travel confirmation documents upon receipt and to verify all information is correct! This includes: all passenger names, travel dates, airline details, accommodation, transportation, and additional travel component information. Read and review all terms and conditions. Vacationkids will not be responsible for omissions or errors if not brought to our attention within 24 hours of confirmation. Final payment must be received in advance of travel supplier due dates to avoid vendor cancellation.
International Travel Documents: It is the personal responsibility of each traveler to have the proper travel identification documents to travel internationally and this includes children and infants.
U.S. citizens travelling to any destination outside of the United States borders will be required to present a valid U.S. passport. Passports must be valid for 6 months past the return travel date. Some countries require a visa for transit or entry. Passengers are responsible for ensuring that they have all the proper documents for entry. All names on documents must match the legal name on your passport, and travel document information must match tickets.
TRAVELING WITH CHILDREN: Children under 18 years of age not traveling with both parents and/or legal guardian(s) need to present a notarized letter from the absent parent/guardian granting permission to travel outside the United States. Vacation Kids is not responsible for lack of compliance in providing proper documentation to airport authorities. It is the responsibility of the traveler’s parents/guardians to provide proper documentation to airport authorities. Specific countries may require additional parental documentation or translation of these documents. This information can be found at: https://travel.state.gov
FOREIGN NATIONALS: If you are a citizen of another country, there may be additional requirements. Check with the nearest consulate or embassy of the destination you are travelling to and find out the entry requirements for non-U.S. citizens.
HONEYMOON & ANNIVERSARY TRAVELERS: You MUST bring a copy of your marriage certificate to qualify for any complimentary honeymoon/anniversary package. Failure to have such proof of marriage will result in the loss of any complimentary benefits.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: Proof of health or Immunizations may also be required to travel to certain destinations. These responsibilities are subject to change prior to your departure, and it is the responsibility of each traveler to have the proper medical documentation.
Updated information regarding health requirements and other recommendations can be found on the State Department website at https://travel.state.gov It is the responsibility of the traveler to remain informed. Vacationkids is not responsible should travelers fail to comply with these regulations which may result in denied boarding, denied entry, forfeiture of your travel investment and/or government-imposed fines.
CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES AND FEES: Every travel supplier determines individual terms and conditions when it comes to cancellation and change fees. This information is listed on their travel documents and invoices This includes airlines, transportation and tour companies, cruise lines and accommodations. ANY changes made to existing reservation are subject to the current travel supplier rates, promotions, and terms at the time of change. Because life is unexpected, Vacationkids recommends travel insurance to help protect you from unforeseen expenses.
Vacationkids will charge a minimum $250 cancellation fee per registered reservations that do not complete their travel plans. This Vacationkids cancellation fee may be higher on specific complex itineraries or group departures. In these situations, clients would have been specifically notified in writing of a different cancellation policy, prior to their registration.
AIRLINE REGULATIONS, SCHEDULE CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS: Occasionally airlines change flight schedules and may even cancel flights entirely. If the flight time change is minor (2 hours or less according to their contracts) the airline will automatically make the change (airline policies/rules entitle them to do so legally). VacationKids will notify you of major changes of more than 2 hours. Please Note: there may be additional costs should you decide to re-book a new flight or cancel your original flight itinerary. VacationKids is NOT responsible for any additional costs or fees imposed by the airlines. It is the responsibility of the passenger to check for last minute airline flight time changes within 24 hours of departure. VacationKids is not responsible for changes that may occur within 24 hours of original flight departure time.
VACATIONKIDS HIGHLY RECOMMENDS ALL TRAVELERS PERSONALLY RECONFIRM ALL FLIGHT SCHEDULES AND CHECK IN FOR YOUR FLIGHTS 24 HOURS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE TO STAY INFORMED OF ANY LAST-MINUTE CHANGES OR DELAYS. THIS INCLUDES FLIGHTS RETURNING HOME FROM YOUR VACATION. Most airlines allow you to check in online 24 hours prior to departure using your last name and the “Record Locator or PNR number” (found in your VacationKids documents)
In addition, Vacationkids highly suggests travelers familiarize themselves with the baggage policies of their specific airline and destination as per their specific ticket as well as Carryon Bag Rules" at www.TSA.gov to avoid additional fees or item restrictions.
Travel Insurance: Vacationkids HIGHLY recommends travel protection insurance to protect your vacation investment. If you choose not to take travel insurance offered, we require your signature acknowledging that you assume all risk involved with your travel activities, that you were informed about insurance options but have declined insurance coverage.
As of March 21, 2020, COVID-19 is considered a foreseeable, known event and its impacts to travel are not covered by travel insurance policies. Claims due to known, foreseeable, or expected events, epidemics, government prohibitions, warnings, quarantine including quarantine due to COVID exposure, travel advisories or fear of travel are generally not covered, and coverage can vary by state. Cancel for any reason coverage may help. Vacationkids is a seller of travel, not experts in travel insurance policies. We HIGHLY recommend travelers direct any specific coverage questions to their travel insurance provider and be fully informed of their policies prior to purchase.
