Tips On Enjoying Epcot at Disney World

I'm going to be very honest here, enjoying Epcot is not something I've ever done before.  I could have cared less if I ever went there ever again.  Seriously, what did I want with that long walk around that huge lake.

I had no plans of taking my girls to Epcot in August and I made it very well know on my most recent trip to Epcot with a few other travel agents.  They told me that they would make me change my mind and guess what, I changed my mind!  I can't wait to take the girls to Epcot!

My Mom loves Epcot, she's a huge fan!  She could probably tell you of the top of her head the order of the countries around the lake as you traveled clockwise from one to the other.  The architecture, the shops, the food, all of it is intriguing to her.  If Mom could see IllumiNaitons every week, she would!

Don't get me wrong, I think it's amazing that you can experience so many countries in one place at one time, but I was just never able to appreciate it before.  Oh no, maybe I'm getting old!  Ha, I am, and it's great!  I love trying new foods around the World Showcase. Epcot is home to the International Food and Wine Festival held there every Autumn!

I found it hard having my girls at Epcot the last time we went. I didn't think there was enough for them to do.  We weren't able to go in the shops because four tiny hands grabbing breakable items just wasn't a feasible option.  Our highlights were The Seas with Nemo & Friends, Turtle Talk with Crush, and getting to see Captain Hook and Smee.  I had no idea there were so many other things for them to do!

The little kids will enjoy Duffy the Disney Bear. It's like a passport for kids!  As you travel through the countries, kids can have their Duffy stamped, enjoy great interactions and learning opportunities!  There's an amazing playground for them to burn off some energy before your family heads off to a character meal at Chip 'n Dale's Harvest Feast at The Garden Grill, just watch your step as the restaurant does rotate and please come hungry!

I came to realize that some of my favorite rides are actually in Epcot.  Soarin is absolutely amazing. If you haven't been on it, you have to go!  Living with the Land is phenomenal.  It will really make you think about and appreciate your food.  I loved Test Track, but please make sure your phone is secure. I almost lost mine, I'm still grateful to the guest who found it and returned it to me.  Also, be sure to check out Spaceship Earth and email your video to yourself!

The next time you head down to Walt Disney World, make sure you visit Epcot. I know I will because now I'm a huge fan and I want everyone to experience the magic that Epcot has to offer!
