How to find Disney Discounts

Everybody is searching for the best Disney World discounts. Nobody wants to pay any more than they have to. We get it. We like nothing better than to save our clients the big bucks.

If you're starting to plan and set a budget for your Disney Park Vacation, you may also want to check out our article "How Much Does A Disney Vacation Cost?"  You first need to know how much things cost in order to recognize a bargain when you spot one.

One of the pricier parts of any Walt Disney World Vacation is your park tickets.  Disney pro-rates their tickets. The longer you stay, the cheaper the price you'll pay. Actually prices have increased since the photo of the park sign here was taken. Prices for a basic park pass to the Magic Kingdom start at $95 for guests over the age of 10 and $89.00 for kids ages 3-9. Options from here include park hopper option (so that you can visit more than one park each day), No expiration tickets, water park options even annual park passes.  There are enough choices to make your head spin.

The very first thing you need to decide is to figure out exactly what you need. A very general rule of thumb is that you'll need at least 1 day per park, honestly 2 days for the Magic Kingdom. Disney makes park admission cheaper the more days you buy. Parents need to be brutally honest here. It's easy to get excited with vacation anticipation and over-spend. Buying more than you really need means your Disney savings will head right out the window. If you're at Walt Disney World and decide youwant to spend the day at Typhoon Lagoon, you can add on waterpark admission. If you buy it in advance and decide not to visit the waterpark, then you're out of pocket.

If you need park tickets, a hotel, transportation and maybe dining then you should buy a vacation package....right?  Everyone knows you'll save money buying a vacation package. Well, not exactly. Actually when it comes to Disney, if you know what you want and have figured out exactly what you need, it can be much cheaper to buy your tickets and hotel separately. (more on this later).

When folks see how much Disney park passes cost, they naturally head to the internet to search for deals and discounts.  This is where many people can get into serious trouble. Buying cheap tickets on Ebay or Craig's list is a HUGE risk.  More times than not these are scams, not discounts. Disney finger prints every ticket holder at the gate and assigns that identity to that specific pass. Folks cannot simply sell unused tickets online. They will not work for you when you arrive at the park and you will need to pay for new tickets. NOT a good deal.

If your family has a local place to stay and you don't need a vacation package then you can find some discounts with authorized Disney Ticket sellers.  AAA  and the Undercover Tourist are companies that buy bulk Disney tickets. Again if you're just looking to just buy park tickets this may save you a couple bucks.

If you need a Disney hotel room for your family then you may be loosing money buying discount tickets, even from an authorized Disney Ticket seller.  This may sound counter-intuitive but follow along here. You see, Disney starts selling it's hotel rooms 499 days in advance.  Many families book their rooms as soon as they become available. This way they get the rooms they specifically want and they can add on dining and park entertainment when it becomes available. When you book in advance, we can offer a vacation layaway payment plan which can save you a ton of interest too.

When you buy either a vacation package or purchase ala carte hotel and park passes from us, we babysit our client's reservations. You see, Disney introduces new sales and new incentives from time to time.  Whenever a new deal is announced, we check our client's reservations. If our clients qualify for additional discounts, we contact Disney and have those savings applied to your reservation. For example if a 30% room discount or Free Disney Dining is announced this could save your family hundreds.  Tickets sold thru authorized Disney ticket sellers do not qualify for these additional savings and discounts. These park tickets cannot be changed so you would not qualify to get these great deals.

We like nothing better than helping our clients score the best discounts on Disney Vacations. We can save you money helping you recognize the best available deals but even more important, we save you time. Time wasted hunting and search as well as time saving you time with complimentary daily park itinerary planning. This is an automatic $149 discount that you get by working with us...a great discount to start your Disney Vacation.
