Vacation AnticipationVacationkids believes that a family vacation is not just about a week at the beach with your kids. Vacations make tomorrows and yesterdays.  A family vacation is something that you look forward too with great anticipation, and if done properly, a great vacation is something that your family will remember for a life time.

Actually there is some research that supports the idea of how important vacation planning and anticipation is to our over all health. According to a Dutch Research Study, "Vacationers reported a higher degree of pre-trip happiness, compared to non-vacationers, possibly because they are anticipating their holiday". The report goes on to say that happiness levels drop off during the holiday and especially after returning home. Vacationers who had a very relaxed and stress free trip that met all of their wishes were the ones that had higher happiness levels upon returning home.

Parenthood, careers, maintaining a household...with all of these stresses, no wonder vacation planning reduces stress. It's that carrot in front of our nose. That reward of a little time away from all the day to day stresses. It's about spending some time with the people we love most that helps us get out of bed in the morning and carry on.

Very often, when parents come to us to help with their reservations, it's because vacation planning has become an additional stress. Instead of looking forward to planning a vacation, it has become a dreaded chore.  They want that perfect vacation that will live up to the expectations of everyone in the family, fit their budget and be memorable. They spend hours, trolling the internet, spinning their wheels and adding to their confusion. Reaching out to a travel professional insures that your family will have a vacation that everyone can happily anticipate. It means peace of mind to enjoy the idea of your upcoming vacation.

The biggest difference is that an experienced travel professional can offer are tips and suggestions that will turn a typical family vacation into a memorable experience. It's not just about spending a week at the beach to escape from work and daily life. It's about recommending that special restaurant or that out of the way beach where all the sea turtles live. These are the moments that will extend your vacation memories and happiness for years to come...Vacations made for yesterdays. You'll find them in that vacation photo of your family that you keep on your desk or night stand...the memories that you keep in your heart. Vacation memories and photos are the only way we can keep our children 5 years old forever!

No doubt I'm dating myself with this video but this song says with so much more heart than my words or some scientific study ever could...
