What Is An All Inclusive Family Vacation Like?

What is a family all inclusive like Imagine this...

You wake up to a knock at the door and a good morning from your waiter. He greets you with a cheerful smile as he opens the curtains to reveal a perfect day in paradise.

He rolls your breakfast cart in and gets to work setting it up on your balcony. There is the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, eggs and sausage, an array of tropical fruit, a basket of pastry and pancakes for the kids complete with a vase holding a bird of paradise flower to start your day. There's no arguements. Everyone can have their absolute favorite breakfast. It's amazing how much better food tastes when it comes with a view of the sea.

You've never seen the kids get it together so quickly in the morning. They are in such a rush to get going.  Your family strolls down a palm covered path to the kids club. The kids are bouncing up and down with excitement. They stop for just a second to say "Good Morning" to a friendly family of iguanas. The staff takes them into their care and shares with them all the fun things they plan to do, see and explore for the day. They eagerly wave you good bye as they disappear. You have a beeper just in case you're needed but that seems doubtful at best.

It's just the two of you...when was the last time you found yourselves alone and relaxed?

Now what should you do?

Take a stroll along the sand or stop by the gym to work off breakfast. No doubt there is a yoga or pilates class for you to join. Ever dreamed of learning to scuba dive, there's an intro class happening at the main pool.

Maybe head down to the beach and find yourself a shady palapa to park under. Pull out that book you've been dying to read for the past year. Let the waitress bring you more coffee and snacks. Need a change of scenery? Head over to your choice of pools, take a dip and cool off. If you need incentive to swim, head over to the pool bar for a minosa.

Is it lunch time already? Time flies when you are this relaxed. Important decisions need to be made. Will it be the fresh catch of the day at the beach cafe, a little Mexican, a little Italian or a little bit of everything at the buffet. After all this decision making and eating you'll probably need a nap at the pool.

Awake and refreshed, it's time for volleyball, or dance class, or cooking class. Go talk to Charlie at the beach shack if you need a fresh towel, snorkeling gear or a kayak for two. Maybe it's back to that book that you can't put down. No doubt you will be interrupted by your waiter wanting to know if he can bring you another beer or maybe a pina colada this time around.

As the sun starts to slide a bit lower in the sky, you head over to collect the kids. They've all made new best friends and want to stay to eat dinner with them. Afterwards they are all planning on enjoying movies and popcorn watching big screen movies on the beach from their own tents. Tomorrow they will spend time with you if you absolutely promise to take them to that huge waterpark they found on the other side of the resort. See you later mom and dad...say around 9pm?

So the two of you head back to your room. Sip some wine as you watch the sunset over the water and enjoy a littke romance. Later enjoy its dinner for two at the little French bistro topped off with a little creme brulee.

It's finally time to gather up the kids. You all head over to the theater to watch a musical show performed by talented artists. There is singing, dancing even aerial ballet.  One of the staff taps you on the shoulder and asks you to bring your kids down to the beach. There your family gets to watch little baby sea turtles hatch and make their way into the ocean.

After such a busy day, you all head back to your room. The kids find bedtime cookies and milk waiting for them. You're surprised with mints and towel scultures on your freshly made beds.

Now wake up!!!!

No, this is NOT a dream. Your waiter is knocking at your door

This is what a day will be like for your family if you decide to vacation at a family all inclusive resort.  Your beautiful room, all your food, all your drinks (including alcohol), resort activities, evening entertainment, kids club babysitting, tips and taxes are all included in one price.  You can leave your wallet locked in your room safe with your passports.
