Jamaica Family Beach Vacation at Iberostar Rose Hall Beach

Iberostar Rose Hall BeachThe Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Resort is a fun filled family resort seated on a large piece of property that formally was a colonial sugar cane plantation in the Rose Hall area of Montego Bay, Jamaica. This resort sit adjacent to its two sister properties, the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites and the Adult only Iberostar Grand Hotel Rose Hall. Families staying at the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Resort can only use the facilities at their own hotel.

The Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Resort is located a short 20 minute drive from Montego Bay airport, 30 minutes from downtown Montego Bay and 20 minutes from the historical town of Falmouth. It is ideal situated for golf and easy access to all of Jamaica's famous sightseeing excursions.

It is a beautifully designed resort featuring spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea from every one of its spacious, well-appointed rooms. The breath taking infinity pool has a total area of 7104 square feet overlooking the blue waters of the Caribbean Sea, featuring a Jacuzzi and swim-up bar. The Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Resort offers lots of activities including snorkeling, windsurfing, gymnastics, dance lessons and Spanish lessons.

 The Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Resort offers a main buffet, snack bar and 24 hour room service for hungry guests including three ala carte restaurants 

Uncle Tony's - An a la carte restaurant serving grill and steak specialties. Dress Code: Men are required to wear long pants and collar shirts.
Samurai - An a la carte Japanese restaurant. Reservations required. This is a non- smoking restaurant. Dress Code:Elegant dress required. men must wear long pants and collar shirts.
Jambalaya- An a la carte Cajun restaurant. Reservations required. This is a non- smoking restaurant. Dress Code: Elegant dress required. men must wear long pants and collar shirts

Reservations are required for all ala carte restaurants and need to be made at check in. The number of ala carte reservations can vary depending on resort occupancy and availability but generally the rule is...

3 nights - 1 guaranteed reservation
4 - 6 nights - 2 guaranteed reservations
7 - 9 nights - 3 guaranteed reservations
10 - 13 nights - 4 guaranteed reservations
14 nights - 5 guaranteed reservations

Any extra reservation will be granted only if there is availability on the very same day. Guests are placed on a waiting list and they will be notified that afternoon. Guests may also choose from six bars that serve a selection of international and domestic beer, wine and premium brand liquor. A dress code applies in all specialty restaurants. Gentlemen must wear shirts with collars and sleeves, like a golf or Caribbean shirt, at all specialty restaurants. Men must also they must wear long trousers and closed leather shoes are also encouraged. Woman and children can wear casual, nice sportswear. Generally guests are asked not to wear any beach wear to dinner at night time. Most restaurants are non smoking and some have minimum age requirements for children.

The Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Resort offers little guests Lucy's kids club. It's is open from 10am to 5 pm daily for children ages 4 to 12, daily. This kids club offers both indoor and outdoor activities including a small splash pool. Kids can enjoy painting, sand castle contests, arts and crafts, pool and beach activities, swimming, Olympic games, and indoor movies and activities. Babysitting services are also available at extra cost.

If there are any down sides to this resort or considerations parents need to make it would be....

-Higher floor rooms here offer the nicest views and are the most quiet for early bedtimes. We can request these rooms on your reservation but we cannot guarantee room placement. It depends on availability at the time of check in.

-Guests staying at the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach are only allowed to use the facilities at this resort only. Chances are your kids will want to visit the kids club and water park at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites next door so be aware, this is not allowed.
