Barcelo Puerto VallartaThe Barcelo Puerto Vallarta offers one all inclusive feature that many others do not...privacy for parents.

Sure All Inclusive vacations are outstanding. You can forget your worries, cares and wallet because all of your meals, drinks, alcohol, daily activities, nightly entertainment, Child care and tips are all included in the price of your room. Problem is, for most all inclusive resorts, the entire family is crammed into one room.

So what happens when mom & dad feel a bit romantic and want a little adult alone time? (This is a family friendly blog, I hope I don't have to spell it out for you and you catch our drift here). Being fearful that they kids might "catch" you doesn't really set the mood.

The Barcelo Puerto Vallarta solves this problem. It is located in one of Mexico's beautiful tourist areas where the Sierre Madres mountains kiss the Bay of Bandaras along a beautiful sandy shoreline. The area here is known as Mismaloya and it's about a 40 minute ride south of the airport. Mismaloya is a little more laid back and quiet. It's an excellent spot to kick back and relax while still being a quick 20 minute cab ride from the dining, shopping and sights of downtown Puerto Vallarta.

Barcelo Puerto VallartaThe Barcelo Puerto Vallarta offers some of the largest standard family friendly rooms around. These rooms give you plenty of square footage and room to spread out. Best part is, this resort is very reasonably priced for the amount of space that families get. Lots of bang for your vacation buck is found at the Barcelo!

Family suites at the Barcelo Puerto Vallarta are family of 5 friendly so they will allow up to 3 kids under the age of 12 to all stay together. Technically the family suites here  two adjoining rooms. Both Rooms offer You walk into a living room area, and then pass the bathroom area going into the bedroom area. One room offers a King bed for parents but as far as the rest of it...Two Double beds in the 2nd room, 2 living room areas, 2 bathrooms, 2 flatscreen TVS, 2 balconies, most with ocean views and most importantly ONE door so that mom and Dad can enjoy a little romance or escape from children with early bedtimes.

But there is more to a fun family vacation than big rooms and privacy. 3 of the 4 restaurants here offer delicious dining along with breath taking ocean views.  There is a huge, meandering pool complete with waterfalls and the shade of swaying palm trees. There's even a pool just of the kids and complimentary baby sitting for kids ages 5-12 (so that parents can "enjoy" their room)!

Beyond the resort there are plenty of sightseeing options like ocean sports, cruises to private island adventures and mountain tour adventures.  Over the "winter" months from Novembert to April, it's sea turtle season.  If you time your vacation just right, you many be able to witness the birth of hundreds of baby sea turtles making their way to the sea on a moon lit night. Besides these tiny sea creatures, the humpback whales also visit during this same time of year.  Whale watching with your kids will certainly be an adventure that will be remember thru the years.

Puerto Vallarta has always been a very popular family vacation destination for midwest and west coast families. In recent years, more and more flights are being offered from east coast cities. Now even more families can discover the charm and hospitality offered here. Rumor has it that more east coast nonstop flights will be offered for spring break 2014 from select cities.

If you have any questions about the Barcelo or need help planning a family vacation to Puerto Vallarta, just ask.  Our staff has stayed here and have visited many times. We can save you time, money and give you insider tips to make this vacation with your kids the greatest.
