El Dorado Generations  Vacationkids was recently invited by Karmisa Resort to preview El Dorado Generations prior to its opening. Some areas are still under construction be we are very pleased to offer our fans this review.

This all inclusive family friendly resort is truly unique amongst its neighbors in the Riviera Maya. It is due to open in early 2013 and no doubt will be a preferred location for important family vacations and celebrations for years to come.

El Dorado Generations is a boutique style 30-room all inclusive family friendly resort situated directly on world famous Marorma beach, only steps away from El Dorado Maroma Resort. El Dorado Maroma has a long standing reputation as a very intimate, romantic adult hideaway perfect for gourmet, all inclusive honeymoons.  Both properties are part of Karisma Resorts who have received requests for years to expand facilities to allow destination weddings at El Dorado Maroma AND offer a family friendly all inclusive option in this same gorgeous location...hence El Dorado Generations was born.

At the moment, the idea is to gear this resort for family reunions, destination family weddings and corporate meetings. Vacationkids is not yet sure if rooms here will be available for sale to individual families or if rooms will only be sold in blocks for group gatherings. We will keep you posted. If you are contemplating a family friendly group gathering in the days ahead and are interested in a stay here, please contact us soon. There are only 30 rooms here and as nice as they are, availability promises to be an issue in the near future!

Suites here are grouped together in sets of three. There is a family of five friendly 1 bedroom complete with a full kitchen, living and dining room. This suite is capable of adjoining to another family of five room as well as another room that will sleep 4. If you haven't been keeping count these adjoining rooms can sleep up to 14 family members! Ground floor rooms offer swim up suites too.

Families at El Dorado Generations are pampered with gourmet services and amenities such as beach butlers, concierge service, daily turn down, 24 hours room service, premium beverages and gourmet cuisine. Families can dine at Chakay restaurant. Chakay is open all day and offers both food displays as well as a la carte dining options in a welcoming setting with maritime décor. For dinner you can choose from an a la carte menu that changes daily. Guests also have the option of dining at this great restaurant located at neighboring Marina Maroma. Adult guests (and teens over 16) are also invited to enjoy any of the gourmet all inclusive restaraurants at El Dorado Maroma right next door.

Little guests at El Dorado Generations are treated like VIPs.Upon request, rooms can be fully outfitted with baby ammenities like strollers, cribs, pack & plays, bottle warms & sterilizers, gourmet baby foods, monitor, changing tables...even a bathtub with baby size robes. Kids ages 4-12 years can enjoy the fully supervised Eko Kids Club. It will be open daily from 9am to 9:30 pm with a break for dinner. It offers the kids a fun and safe place to play and offers unique children’s experiences such as recycling materials for art projects to teach children about the environment while having a good time. The Kids Club has a movie area, craft station, library, gaming consoles and more! It also offers Karisma Resort's Fisher Price toy lending program.  Children younger than 4 are welcome to come and play but must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the kids club area.

We can't think of a more beautiful spot for a destination wedding. Brides can choose from a simple free ceremony to elaborate celebrations (fees). In addition, this is one of the few spots in the Riviera Maya that offers a beach front chapel which is required to hold Catholic religious weddings in Mexico.
