Every summer our family looks forward to gathering for our annual family reunion. This year our family gathering will be on July 8th at the home of one of our cousins. It's a lot of work despite the fact that everyone chips in with cooking and preparation. We all live fairly close to one another so only a few folks have to worry about travel arrangements. Still after a fun filled day of conversation, BBQ and horse shoes everyone is reluctant to depart because we're all having such a good time. This year is a bit different, we all have a second "reunion" to look forward too.
One of our cousins is getting married. He and his lovely bride have decided upon a destination wedding at Dreams Cancun. This means we'll have a second family reunion to look forward to this year. For many, this special family gathering will be their first family vacation to Mexico. No doubt I'll be answering lots of questions in between bites of my mom's potato salad.
Over the years, the staff and I have put together many destination weddings and family reunions for our clients. Most of the time we work with families that we meet via emails and phone calls. We don't get the luxory of putting faces to names unless folks are kind enough to share their vacation photos with us. I have to say it's really fun working with people that I know and love. I also get the first opportunity to meet and talk to new extended family members who no doubt will be sharing backyard BBQs with us in the years ahead.
