The five star Xpu-Ha Palace Resort (pronounced Shpoo-ha by the locals) is a different kind of all inclusive resort. It is built on the grounds of a gorgeous ecological park along the Mexican Riviera about 1 hours drive south of Cancun. At first glance, you'll think you're visiting Jurassic Park. The Xpu-ha is where Gilligan's Island meets the Twenty First Century. You're surrounded with azure Caribbean seas and Mangroves. Even though you feel like you're in a exotic jungle locale, you have all the luxurious amenities of the civilized world. Rooms are bungalow style with thatched roofs, two queens or a king bed and double jacuzzi. Each room boasts an awesome patio with a double chaise lounge, table, chairs and double hammock. It is so pleasant to sit and listen to the ocean and enjoy the seas breezes. It's a great spot in enjoy the 24 hour room service.

There is plenty to do here for kids of all ages. You're greeted to an open air lobby shaped like a serpent which is surrounded by a zoo area containing Ocelots, Monkeys and many other native species. There is a kids club with activities for ages 4-12 every day. Best of all there are friendly eco-guides available from 9am-4pm daily to teach guests of all ages about the many wonders surrounding them. There is an aviary, a serpentarium, a crocodile pit, a botany tour and you can even stare at the stars through a telescope in the evening. The Xpu-ha has a fresh water river originating from an underground cave called a cenote. This river pools into a brackish lagoon before emptying along a coral reef in the seas. Explore this area by Kayak or with your snorkel gear looking for resident manatees and all the different fish species.

There are two zero entry pools with waterside activities scheduled throughout the day. The beach even boasts a huge playground area to keep the kids busy just in case Mom and Dad want to sit and soak up some sun. You have your choice of three delicious restaurants, snack bar, unlimited premium drinks and nightly entertainment. The best feature of the Xpu-ha is their friendly staff who go above and beyond expectation to make guests feel at home.
