As Mel explained the Grand Xcaret by Occidental resort is surrounded by lush tropical folliage. The architecture and design of the buildings housing 770 rooms makes you feel like you're back in time, living in a Mexican colonial village. The beach at the Grand Xcaret by Occidental Resort is a man made beach so it is not as big as some of the other resort beaches in the area. That said it does offer silky white sand for your toes and has been built in the shape of an protected inlet. This means gentle lapping waves for your little swimmers.

Although the Grand Xcaret by Occidental Resort has a smaller beach it more than makes up for this with 5 immense swimming pools including a children's pool.
There are plenty of other things to keep families busy as well like scuba demos in the pool,
use of non motorized watersports, day and night tennis, fitness center with spa, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi, daily activities program, disco and nightly entertainment. There are also bicycle tours offered, archery, paddleball courts, shuffleboard and mini golf. With all the fun things to do, you and the family are sure to work up a big appetite.
