High season prices at the Sea Adventure resort start from $499 for adults and $399 for kids under 12. These are all inclusive land only rates based on a Jr suite room so airfare costs are additional. The Sea Adventure resort and Waterpark often offers "kids free" deals during summer vacation months making it even more affordable. The Sea Adventure Resort and Waterpark is listed as being in Cancun so most folks assume it is located in Cancun's main hotel zone but it is not. Sea Adventure Resort & Water Park is located on the North side of city of Cancun at the tip of the seaside fishing village of Puerto Juarez, the gateway to Isla Mujeres. Puerto Juarez are is now being developed as it is just across the lagoon from Cancun. This is where tourists catch the ferry to Isla Mujeres to go snorkeling or sightseeing. If you look closely at our photo here you can see the hotel zone of Cancun in the distance. From the Sea Adventure resort it is about a twenty minute drive to either the airport or the Hotel zone.

The Sea Adventure Resort is actually situated on two sides of the street. There are 107 jr suites in the main lobby area of the resort that hugs the beach. Then there are 53 superior rooms on the other side of the street close to the waterpark. Families have no need to worry about safe access to either their rooms, the waterpark or the beach because there is a tunnel. Families can safely cross under the road at any time making this resort very easy to navigate.

The Sea Adventure Resort & Water Park boasts more than 800 feet of powdery, white-sand beachfront peppered with shade palapas and lounges. In addition, the resort offers a large free-form pool with an attached children's swim area and three jacuzzis. As the sun sets, the pool area bursts with activity while guests socialize on the expansive deck, sip cocktails and listen to music while enjoying the magnificent backdrop of one of Cancun's largest marinas. In addition guests have a full offering of non motorized water sports activities they can enjoy.

In addition to three bars and continental room service for breakfast, The Sea Adventure Resort and Waterpark offer four restaurants and a dinner theater.

El Palmar - Serving international cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet style with table-side beverage service, this restaurant is located inside and just around the corner from the lobby with views of the ocean. Dinner themes change nightly and the cuisine features an internationally inspired menu. Open for breakfast 7:00am - 11:30 am, for snacks and lunch 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm and dinner 6:00 -10:00pm.

La Terraza, This open-air restaurant is adjacent to the soft sands of the beach with a large patio that offers beautiful views to enjoy a quick snack or light lunch. When the sun goes down, La Terraza is transformed into a beach side restaurant offering pasta and pizza specialties. Open for snacks and lunch 11:30 am - 5:30 pm and dinner 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm. Late snacks all night long for those who like late party from 10:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Ostras & Oysters - Open for dinner 6:00pm until 10:00pm with views of the marina, distant lights of Isla Mujeres and the ocean surround guests as they dine in this nautical and lighthouse inspired space. Children's Program The Kid's Club is open from 9:00am-5:00pm daily, providing an exciting variety of indoor and outdoor activities from sand castle building and snorkeling to board games and Spanish lessons for kids age 4-12. Babysitting after hours can be provided for an additional charge of $20 per hour per child and reservations must be made 24 hours in advance.

But what kids and grown ups alike REALLY enjoy about the Sea Adventure Resort is their Waterpark. This is a 40 foot wet and wild tree house the offers 4 exciting water slides into a 2,700 sq. foot plunge pool. In addition there is a huge bucket of water atop the tree house that fills, dumps and splashes everyone creating an enormous waterfall every few minutes. Sally and Suzie report this area is probably best for kids ages 6 and older who are good swimmers and have their parents supervision. The waterpark is open daily from 9am to 5pm and it is open to the public. Families not staying at the resort can pay and visit just the waterpark area for the day.

In addition, just a few steps from the tree house is the Little Adventure area for younger children. The depth of the water here is only 1 foot and it has been designed with the safety and comfort of smaller kids. There are interactive water games like squirt guns, little mushrooms and smaller waterfalls. This area is designed for children under the age of 8. No children will be allowed in this area unless they are accompanied by an adult. In addition, this area offers a fun mini golf course, games, a snack bar and swim up bar for parents as well as plenty of shade to offer relief from the sun.

With all the fun The Sea Adventure Resort and Waterpark has to offer families, you and the kids are bound to get tired at some point. Again this is a budget resort so the rooms are not fancy but they have recently been refurbished and decorated in a contemporary style with Mexican flair. The photos here are of the Jr suite rooms at the Sea Adventure resort. This room will allow a maximum of 2 adults and three children under the age of 12 accommodated in two double beds with a fold out sofa. There are also Jr suites with only a king bed that will accommodate a maximum of 3 people. Please note the Jr suites offer a split level design with a step down into the living room area. The Jr suites also offer a private balcony with most offering an ocean view.

Standard rooms will allow a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children under 12. It's basically the same layout minus the sunken living room area. Standard rooms are located across the street, near the waterpark and their balconies offer garden views.

All accommodations include: direct dial telephone, bathtub/shower combination, crib (on request), ironing board, air conditioning, satellite television, iron, hair dryer, safe, bathroom toiletries, coffee maker and ceiling fan.

So if your family has been search for a great place to take the plunge and enjoy an all inclusive family resort vacation then The Sea Adventure Resort and Waterpark is the right place for you. You may have a problem dragging the kids out of the waterpark and getting them back home but we think this is a good problem to have.
