Vacationkids own Sally Black recently returned from a visit to the Royal Solaris with these photos and first hand reviews. What a surprise for some of her Vacationkids clients when Sally showed up pool side for a quick hello! The Royal Solaris Caribe is actually two resorts blended into one. The property consists of two 8 story buildings, the modern Royal Tower, and Mediterranean/Moorish-influenced Caribe Tower. This resort can be a bit tricky to navigate with a stroller and is not recommended for handicapped guests.

Along with it's beautiful stretch of beach, The Royal Solaris Caribe offers four picturesque outdoor swimming pools, one with a swim up bar, two ocean view jacuzzis and 3 kiddie pools. There are aquaerobics in one of the pools, a free scuba demo in another, plus two oceanfront outdoor whirlpools. Non motorized waters sports such as snorkeling, sailing, paddleboats and windsurfing are included and available on site. If you prefer land sports try out their 9-hole Mini Golf Course, tennis courts, Basketball and Volleyball games, gymnasium or aerobics classes. After all this fun your family will be tempted with the delicious meals offered at the Royal Solaris Caribe's eight restaurants serving international buffets as well as ala carte choices for your dining pleasure.

The Royal Solaris Caribe boasts comfortable, charming rooms most of which offer either a lagoon or ocean views. Rooms offer either one king or two double size beds and offer such amenities as air conditioning, satellite color TV, bathtubs and showers, personal safe, hairdryers and direct dial phones. Rooms will accommodate a maximum of 4 people. Cribs are available upon request. At certain times of the year kids under the age of 12 stay for free at the Royal Solaris Caribe just paying for their airfare. The Royal Solaris also offers seasonal Single Parent deals. These offers change throughout the year and are not available during peak travel times like holidays and spring break but can offer families with flexible travel schedules excellent savings.

Sally was very impressed with the Royal Solaris Caribe's kids club. This delightful program offers a whimsical play area scaled and suitable for all sorts of fun children`s activities. This mini-club is for kids ages 4 to 11 years old. It is complimentary as part of the all inclusive program and is available all year round, 7 days a week from 9:30 am to 7:00 pm. Young guests can also enjoy the Game room and the 9 hole mini golf. Should parent prefer child care for younger children or if they want a night out to themselves, baby sitting is available with 24 hours notice for the additional fee of $10.00 per hour.

7, 4 and 3 night vacation packages with charter flights are usually offer the best vacation values. Charter flights depart from many US cities on specific days of the week which vary by airport city. Sale based on Sept. and Oct 2003 departures. Vacationkids bases their advertised pricing on packages including charter flights with double adult occupancy and are subject to availability. Children must be age 12 and under to qualify for children's pricing. For bookings within 14 days of departure, add $10 per person.
