Jan McAuley and Sally Black of Vacationkids visited the Oasis Palm Beach resort in Sept. 2007 and believe it is the best Oasis hotel for families. The Oasis Palm Beach is located in Cancun's famous hotel zone just 13 miles from Cancun Airport.
It takes about 20-25 minutes drive time to reach the resort from the airport making it an easy commute for families. Because of its great location, this resort is just steps away from shopping,

The Oasis Palm Beach Resort offers 471 rooms decorated with a modern Mexican flair. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. Everywhere you turn there is plenty of comfortable seating and places for families to relax and enjoy each other's company. Throughout all the main public areas and poolside you'll find lush garden features and tropical flowers that add to the ambiance. This property is big enough to offer families plenty of vacation options yet small enough to be intimate and personal. In the words of Goldilocks..."It's just right".

One of the most striking features of the Oasis Palm Beach Resort in Cancun is it's large Seven Seas serpentine pool that stretches along the property facing the ocean. One end of the pool offers a swim up bar and activites keeping the other side of the pool relatively quiet. In between there is plenty of room to splash and play. Besides the pool, guests at the Oasis Palm Beach Resort enjoy full all inclusive activities including non-motorized water sports, two tennis courts and two weekly evenings of entertainment on the beach. For an additional fee parents can also relax in the spa!

Some beaches on the eastern side of Cancun can be rough and a bit dangerous for ocean swimming. The Oasis Palm Beach Resort is located on Cancun's north shore. The island of Isla Mujeres lies just off shore. You can see it in the distance. It blocks all the rough wave and surf making the 650 foot beach front of the Oasis Palm Beach resort perfect for swimming. Little swimmers will especially appreciate the gentle lapping waves and sandy beach.

With your all inclusive plan, families can eat and drink as much as they please and the Oasis Palm Beach Resort offers 5 ala carte restaurants, 1 main buffet, 1 snack bar and 6 bars including a pool swim up bar...
Akeru Asian - Fusion a la Carte Serving dinner 6 pm - 1 am.
Dos Lunas - Mediterranean Buffet, breakfast 7:30 - 11 am, lunch 1 pm - 4 pm, dinner 7 pm - 11 pm.
Cocoa Seafood and Sushi - Seafood and Sushi a la carte, with an Asian touch. Lunch 1 pm - 5 pm. Dinner 6:30 - 10:30 pm.
Sushi Beach Bar - Serving lunch 12 pm - 5:30 pm.
Sarape - Mexican a la carte. Serving dinner 6:30 - 11 pm.
Ibiza Restaurant - Casual restaurant serving breakfast 6:30-10:30. lunch 12:30-3:30 and dinner6:30-10:30. Magnificent Buffet with International specialities with show cooking

All rooms at the Oasis Palm Beach Resort offer either one king or two double beds, air conditioning, private bathroom with hair dryer, satellite color TV with remote, direct dial phone, mini bar and safe deposit box. Pricing is determined by room location. There are lagoon view rooms which face the road and lagoon in the front of the building and Oceanview rooms which face poolside and the beach.
The Oasis Palm Beach resort is family of five friendly. This means 3 kids under the age of twelve can share the same hotel room with their parents. Technically the resort's maximum occupancy rules will allow
3 adults and two kids under 12 to share the same room. This may come in handy for families with one child over 12 or in case a grandparent wants to travel along. Please know a cot will be brought into a double bedded room for the 5th person to use.

The Oasis Palm Beach Resort welcomes kids as VIP guests. Children and their parents are greeted by the friendly staff upon entering. After registration kids enjoy plenty of activities to keep them busy from sun up to sun down...and beyond.

The kid's and teen's beach club and waterpark welcomes kids ages 3-16 during the hours of 8am and 11pm daily. The club closes for lunch from 1pm to 2:30pm each day so that kids can join their parents. Special arrangements can be made during lunchtime for a fee and this must be done in advance. Throughout the day kids will enjoy age appropriate activities such as nature and science study, fun and games, arts and crafts and sports competitions.

The Oasis Palm Beach Resort has an wonderful waterpark area located within their kids club which is completely separate from the main pool area. It offers kids a fun, safe area to splash and play the day away. Surrounding this area there are ping pong tables, pool tables and other game tables scattered about
making for a relaxed playfilled area. It was very hot during our visit and Sally really wanted to enjoy the slide...sorry Sally, this is for kids only!

The Oasis Palm Beach has an enormous playground for kids to climb upon. Just in case it rains or the sun becomes too much there is even more indoor fun with a separate video game area.
Day Care facilities are available for infants 1-2 years of age from 8am until 11pm upon request.
Overnight camp is available on certain nights from 6:30pm until 8am for an additional fee. The fully trained staff will make sure kids participating in the sleep over camp enjoy a great time while their parents are out having some adult fun of their own.
Sleep over camp is available for kids ages 7-13 years of age. Reservations are required 24 hours in advance.

The Oasis Palm Beach resort has just about everything imaginable to keep kids happy. And smart parents know, when the kids are happy then EVERYBODY is happy! During our stay, animation staff members were strolling the property and engaging the kids in interactive puppet shows. The kids were so enchanted and engaged that it gave parents a few minute to relax and refill their umbrella drinks. It's the little things like this that families will remember for years to come.
