Disney Quick ServiceWhile you are in Walt Disney World, there are a few choices available when it comes to Dining.  The easiest of these options is Disney's Quick-Service Dining.  For each night of your stay the members in your reservation will receive one snack and two Quick-Service meals per person.  You will also receive a refillable Disney drink mug with your Quick-Service Dining Plan!

I find this plan to be extremely easy to follow and rather convenient for many families.  There is no need to make dining reservations when guests use this dining plan.  The plan is not available to guests under the age of three.  Children aged three to nine who use the Quick-Service Dining Plan must order off of the children's menu unless there is no children's menu available.  You will find snacks, which are marked with a special Disney Snack Symbol, at many of the stores, food carts, and Quick-Service restaurants.  There are over 50 Quick-Service restaurants in Walt Disney World, this includes the theme parks, water parks, resorts, Downtown Disney, and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

When using a meal credit for breakfast you will get an entree and a Non-alcoholic drink, for lunch or dinner you will get an entree, dessert, and a Non-alcoholic drink.  If you're worried that you will be stuck eating the same types of food over and over again if you purchase this dining plan, think again!  This plan will not limit you to hot dogs, pizza, and chicken fingers, but you can find quick service restaurants that offer these foods.  Thankfully Disney has a wide array of healthy choices when it comes to Quick-Service meals.  This is a major plus for me as a somewhat vegetarian, I can find salads, vegetable sandwich's, and fish options at some of the quick service restaurants.

Typically when I get this plan I will use the snack option to purchase a bagel or muffin at my resort for breakfast, then I will use one of my meals for lunch, and the other meal for dinner.  Should you decide to eat at a full service restaurant you will need to pay separately for your meal.  If you decide to enjoy a full service meal for dinner you can use your quick-service meals for breakfast and lunch, then use your snack credit to get an extra drink or ice cream treat during the day.  Please note that you will need to pay gratuity's and additional fees for extra food or alcoholic drinks.

While it may take some getting used to if you are not familiar with the dining plans at Walt Disney World, by the end of the trip you may wonder how you ever went to Disney without a Dining Plan.  It is important that you keep your receipts so you have a record of your dining purchases and available credit balances.  If you have not used up your snack credits before you leave Disney simply purchase a few treats to take home with you, my favorite are the rice krispie treats!

Have you tried Disney's Quick-Service Dining Plan?  Would you recommend it to other guests?  Is Quick-Service your favorite or least favorite Dining Plan?
