Suffice to say the entire review of Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort and Spa can be completely
summed up in one word...Amazing! Busy parents can feel free to just confirm their reservations now
and know they are in for the ultimate in an all inclusive family vacation. Cliff note reasons why
Beaches Turks and Caicos is a top pick for Vacationkids.com families...
- Nursery care for infants thru age 2
- Kids club from ages 2-17 years
- Kids ages 15 and under still pay children's rates
- One of the most gorgeous beaches on the planet
- Great resort for reunions or multi generational family trips
For those of you who
need to know all of the details, feel free to continue reading. Vacationkids will do our best to
provide you with everything you'll need to know but there is just so much for families to see,
do and experience here that this review could go on for pages and pages. Vacationkids own Mom,
Sally Black, visited Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort and Spa five years ago with her own three teens.
Everyone in the family insists it is THE best vacation they've ever had. When Sally returned again in 2003 with the family, they enjoyed yet another "best vacation ever" so right now the score is two out of two for Beaches Turks.
Things are constantly changing at Beaches Turks like the new Sesame Street program for the little ones and plans for a new Italian village addition to the resort.
There is one thing that definitely
has hasn't change since Sally's last visit and that is all the rave reviews we hear from our vacationkids families
who have visited Beaches Turks and Caicos.

Beaches family resorts are sister properties to the adults only Sandals resorts. There
are three other Beaches Resorts that cater to Families all located on the island of Jamaica...
Beaches Boscobel, Beaches Negril and Beaches Sandy Bay. Sally considered Beaches Turks and Caicos top of the line out of all the Beaches resorts and this is mainly due to it's location.
The Turks and Caicos islands consist of eight islands
and many smaller cays at the southeastern tip of the Bahamas chain. Providenciales, known as Provo,
is where Beaches Turks and Caicos resort and spa is located. Provo is the most developed of all
the islands, complete with
an international airport and just a handful of major resort hotels. Most of the island of Provo is
residential. There are no real big cities and not much civilization. Instead you'll find
breathtaking nature preserves have stunning sites including salt lakes, caves and limestone
cliffs. The 200 mile Barrier Reef system surrounding the Caicos Islands is 65 miles wide. Here,
snorkelers and divers can explore the vibrant marine life and tranquil waters with 200 feet visibility. Photographs cannot compare to the nature beauty of the beaches of Turks and Caicos.

Sally says this is the beach that she compares all beaches against. In all her worldly travels,
this beach is her personal favorite. The water is a bright sparkling turquoise blue with a
white sand beach that feels like your toes are walking on sugar. The Turks and Caicos beach stretches
for 12 long lazy miles for those of you who like to stroll or jog. No motorized boats or water sports are
allowed long this stretch of beach, keeping the water crystal clean. Just a 100 yard stroll down
from the resort is a state protected, marine biological area with a spectacular coral reef. Sally
says if you're trying to find Nemo, he's probably hanging out here with all his sea creature pals.
Starfish, sea horses, sea turtles and every color tropical fish imaginable are swimming along beside you.
Just grab your snorkel gear...it's free to use whenever you wish. There are also free snorkeling classes
and excursions that set out at 9am, 11am, 1:30pm and 3pm to other sites around the island. If you
need more, Beaches Turks and Caicos offers a 3 hour introduction to scuba diving for guests age 12 and
older. Once guests have successfully completed this training the next day they are welcomed to take
a one hour scuba dive every day of your vacation as part of your all inclusive program. Padi certified
divers are allowed two dives per day. If you are not yet Padi certified, this can be arranged for an
extra fee. Scuba excursions are offered throughout the day with night dives available on Tuesdays and
Thursdays.

If you're more of a pool person you'll have five incredible swimming spots to help you beat the heat.
There are also three whirlpools and four swim up bars. Kids don't just have their own pool, they have
a complete water park! Beaches Pirates Island comes complete with a Life-size Pirate ship,
large kids' pool, huge winding water slides, kids' whirlpool, Video games Center, 6 big screen TVs,
Jungle Games Room, Cinema, disco and karaoke. Yes, Pirates Island has just about everything,
including a swim up bar for kids serving ice cold soft drinks and fruit smoothies.
Sally's youngest had to be dragged away from here every night with pruney fingers
and a big exhausted grin from ear to ear. Four years later, she still keeps in touch with kids
she met at while on vacation at Beaches Pirates Island.
When Vacationkids says Beaches Turks and Caicos is the Ultra All Inclusive resort we mean it.
All non motorized water sports are included like sail boats, catamarans, wind surfing, paddle
wheelers, aqua trikes, hobie cats and kayaks. Tennis is available with clinics available for adults
and lessons available for the kids. The action continues from morning till night with
volleyball, water polo, fitness classes, aquasize classes, nightly shows, live entertainment,
piano bar, dancing and karaoke. And in your free time...there is a luxurious full service spa that
offers just about every treatment under the sun from relaxing swedish massage to reflexology to
herbal body wraps. Spa treatments are not part of the all-inclusive package however guests may use
the Spa facilities and fitness center free of charge. Sally says its a very hard choice deciding
whether to spend your day at the beach or at the spa!

Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort and Spa offers your family the choice of nine different
restaurants for your dining pleasure. Each themed dining spot offers tantalizing menus that
are sure to please everyone in your clan. The hardest decision you're family will have to make
each day while on your vacation is which restaurant to choose. There's delicious seafood,
tasty Italian, spicy southwestern, a French patisserie and even the action of a Japanese
steak house. Grown ups may want to escape to Sapodillos for fine cuisine, white gloved service
and casual caribbean elegance (gentlemen should wear long pants and collared shirts.) That's
perfectly okay because while parents are enjoying an evening of romance the kids can stop over
to Bobby D's, a fifties styled diner over in Pirates Cove that serves up all of their favorites
along with a self service soft ice cream bar. Guests also have the choice of different
international buffets that are served for every meal in case you just want a quick bite on the
go. But full waiter service is available for all meals, including breakfast where you can
enjoy your coffee and pancakes overlooking the Caribbean sea.

Every smart parent knows that if the kids are happy....everyone is happy. Beaches Turks
and Caicos resort KNOWS kids and how to keep them happy. Beaches Resorts offers one of
the most respected kids clubs known in the travel industry. From ultra nannies in the infant
nursery right on up through the teens in the teen club, kids of all ages will be happy at
Beaches Turks and Caicos...and happy kids, means happy parents and grandparents!
Cuda Kids Club and Nursery is open daily from 9am to 5pm. The center closes for lunch
between 1-2pm and again for dinner from 5-6pm. All children are cared according to age
groups. Private babysitting can be arranged at any time for an additional fee of $7 (US dollars) per
hour for one or two children or $10 per hour for 3 or more kids. If parents have a day's outing
planned or want to dine by themselves, babysitting can be arranged for a fee for the hours when the
kids club is closed.
Beaches Ultra Nursery is for infants and children up to the age of 3 years old. There is
a ratio of 3 children for every one adult staff member. Most of Beaches Ultra Nannies and
babysitting staff have years of experience. Some have specialized child care certification and
all are trained in CPR. Sally was very impressed with the care and warmth she witness at the
Beaches Turks Nursery. Beaches Resorts provides everything to keep the littlest of their guests
pampered and comfortable. Toddlers enjoy stimulating fun activities under the watchful eyes
of the Nannies in beautiful air conditioned surroundings.
Starting Sept. 2004 Beaches Resorts are a proud sponsor of the Children's Television workshop. This means all your child's favorite Sesame Street characters will be on hand for vacation fun. Your child will enjoy story time with Elmo, adventures with Grover, dance class with Zoe and baking with Cookie Monster as well as character breakfasts and parades.

All Kids Club activities are organized by age groups...
Cubs - Ages 2-3 years (ratio 3 kids/staff person)
Baracudas - Ages 4-5 years (ratio 5 kids/staff person)
Geckos - Ages 6-8 years
Stingrays - Ages 9-12 years
Teens - Ages 13-17 years
Schedules of fun things to do change everyday and include a huge assortment of activities from
water sports and pool play to arts and crafts to talent shows, pajama parties and nightly entertainment. Sally
reports that during her family's week at Beaches Turks those dreaded words of "I'm bored" were
never heard from any of her three kids. In fact the exact opposite was true. One of her kids complained
that there was too much to do and that they needed to stay a second week!

One last word on the kids program...teenagers! They are probably the toughest members of the
family to please and few resorts really cater to them. Beaches Turks and Caicos comes to the rescue.
Besides the organized activities, there are plenty of places for teens to just hang out, play a game of billiards or ping pong and make
new friends. There is a separate Teen Center strategically placed away from little kids and adults.
They can learn a new sport,
use the gym, or the pool and beach with their friends and just have fun. To top it all off,
Beaches Turks offers their Xbox Game Oasis Video Arcade latest cutting-edge video technology from
today's best interactive game publishers and hardware manufacturers. Here avid gamers will find
new games not yet available to the general public. Sally's son spent most of his week here while
on vacation. He walked in, his jaw dropped and his quote was "No quarters allowed! This is
video arcade nirvana". Yes, all the video games you can play are all inclusive.
Whew...We told you Beaches Turks and Caicos has a lot to offer and we weren't kidding.
This resort is the very best in a family ultra all inclusive vacation. With all of these
activities and amenities comes a substantial price tag. This is not a budget vacation but
the old saying "you get what you pay for" certainly applies. Vacationkids is often asked
when is the least expensive time to enjoy a vacation at Beaches Turks. The answer to that
questions is September, October, the first two weeks of December and early May. We encourage families
who have babies and younger kids not yet in school as well as home-school families to
take advantage of sales during these months. Speaking of planning ahead, if you're
family wants to travel during any of the major holidays or spring break travel times...book
early! Availability usually sells out about nine months in advance of high demand holiday weeks
and there is premium pricing during these high demand times. In closing Vacationkids has
one warning, once you visit Beaches Turks and Caicos, you and your family will be spoiled!
You will have found the perfect beach and the best family vacation under the sun.
