The Franklin D. Resort offers parents peace of mind with it's longstanding, excellent reputation of being a leader in Family resorts. Located approximately 1 hour ride from the Montego Bay airport, the Franklin D resort offers peaceful ocean breezes and the tropical surroundings only found in the Jamaican paradise of Runaway Bay. This resort experienced a completed a multi million dollar renovation project in 2001 making the best family resort even better. The upgrade project even included a new family waterpark and 100 foot waterslide for kids. In general, vacationkids recommends the Franklin D. Resort for young families. If you have older children along, your family may want to consider Franklin D.'s sister resort FDR Pebbles Resort

The one feature that separates Franklin D. Resort from all other hotels is their Vacation nancy program which offers parents the ultimate peace of mind. Imagine having your own personal assistant during your vacation. As part of the all inclusive program each family is assigned their own personal vacation nanny for the length of their stay. Someone to help make sure the little ones are fed, dressed and looked after. Someone to make sure you kids are involved in the activities that suit their own personalities. Someone to keep a watchful eye on your teens. Your vacation nanny is there to make sure parents have the restful and relaxing vacation they deserve.

In addition to your vacation nanny, the Franklin D resort offers organized, age appropriate activity programs for both kids age 3 thru teens. A supervised children`s center is available from 7:30 am to 10 pm. Activities include computer games, arts and crafts, donkey rides, beach picnics, etc

There are NO hotel rooms at the Franklin D.resort, only large 1 and 2 bedroom suites complete with kitchen facilities. Families have their own home away from home with room to spread out and relax for the cost of a regular all-inclusive hotel room. One bedroom air conditioned suites give parents a separate bedroom for privacy and a living room with day bed, ceiling fan, satellite TV and phone, dining room, full kitchen complete with utensils, refrigerator and stove, full bathroom with shower and bathtub. Rollaway bed or crib provided at no additional charge. One bedroom suites at the Franklin D. Resort will accomodate up to 2 adults and 3 kids under age 15.
Two bedroom suites offer similar ammenities. One bedroom offers a king bed with full bathroom, shower and tub. Your second bedroom offers two twin beds along with a second full bathroom with shower and tub. This room will allow a maximum occupancy of six persons.
