Beaches Boscobel is the newest and fourth Beaches Family resort. It is located about 2 hours drive from Montego Bay Airport and about 10 minutes past the town of Ocho Rios and the World famous Dunn's River Falls. Vacationkids own Sally Black was one of the VIP's invited to Beaches Boscobel's grand opening celebration in August 2002. Sally returned very impressed but not surprised because she knows Beaches Resorts have impeccable standards and wonderful amenities for families. This is why Beaches Resorts have been voted World's Best Family resorts for the past five years in a row.

Beaches Boscobel is basically built into the mountainside and has several different levels. The entire property offers spectacular views in every direction yet it is easy to navigate with walkways and ramps that are easy to navigate with a stroller. Beaches Boscobel is the only one of the four Beaches resorts that is family of five friendly. This means 3 kids can share the standard deluxe room with their parents. As a bonus, all beaches resorts lets kids 15 and under pay kid's rates. So three kids ages 15 and younger can share a room with their folks. These rooms offer one king or two double beds, a fold out sofa air conditioning, ceiling fans, amenity kit, hair dryer, telephone, private bath and shower, safe, clock radio, satellite TV and coffee maker. There are also suites offering one larger rooms or separate bedrooms that will sleep a family of five. Although most rooms at Beaches Boscobel will only accommodate a maximum of 5 people there are some adjoining rooms. Upgrading your room can give your family a private bedroom for parents, Ocean views, Concierge Service, mahogany four poster bed, sitting area, full bath, stocked in-room bar (free, of course), radio/clock/cd player, bathrobes and cocktail parties.

Beaches Boscobel offers your family just about every water sport under the sun. Sail boats, snorkeling, windsurfing, aqua trikes, Glass bottom boat rides, banana boat rides, hobie cats, water skiing,canoes and kayaks are all included for your pleasure. Guests age 12 and older can elect to take a scuba diving class in the pool. Upon successful completion of this coarse, guests can enjoy a daily one tank dive to several different dive sites to visit tropical fish, sting rays, coral and sea turtles. All this is included as part of Beaches Ultra All Inclusive plan.

Besides the beautiful beach, Beaches Boscobel has 3 pools to help you keep your cool. But some of the best activities at Beaches Boscobel do not include water. At Beaches Boscobel golf is fair game for everyone. Kids under 16 are allowed to play as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Children under 10 years of age must tee off in the after 12 noon. There are free golf classes for the kids which are part of Beaches all inclusive program. This is an excellent opportunity to expose your kids to the game of golf without paying high fees for lessons at your local country club. At Beaches Boscobel, you can all tee off as a family on one of the Caribbean's best golf courses, high in the mountains with refreshing sea breezes. You're welcome to play as often as you'd like and courtesy transportation to the country club is provided. Please note caddies are mandatory but their services are not included. Carts, clubs and other equipment are available at an additional fee. If golf isn't your gig, how about tennis? Day and night you can play to your heart's content as much as you'd like. There are clinics for adults and lessons for the kids so that the family can all play together.

Besides water sports, golf and tennis, Beaches Boscobel has a state of the art fitness center with panoramic views of the ocean to inspire you during your workout. After a tough work out, consider a pampering treatment at the full service spa. Indulge yourself with an aromatherapy massage, beauty treatment or perhaps a facial. Spa treatments are extra but Sally says they are worth every penny. Guests are free to use the co-ed sauna, steam room and fitness center free of charge.

Dining and entertainment keep the family fun going from morning till night. Beaches Boscobel offers five restaurants to temp your taste buds. From casual dining at the bayside to Eleanor's white gloved service complete with caribbean soul every member of the family will look forward to the food. In addition to the food, there are 7 bars, one swim up bar and one upscale piano bar making sure you're never thirsting for more. There is nightly live entertainment and themed shows to enjoy into the wee hours of the evening. When Sally visited, she was entertained by a group of dancers doing a tribute to Michael Jackson. Sally came home raving that each of these guys were better than the original.

Parents can relax at Beaches Boscobel knowing their kids safe and sound at Beaches Boscobel Kids Kamp. This area is designed to accommodate guests under the age of 12. The area is brightly decorated and secure. It is located near the entrance and lobby, far from the pools and beach area. The Kids Boscobel is separated into several different rooms and activity areas so that children can be separated for age appropriate activities. These facilities are staffed by enthusiastic coordinators. These coordinators have training in child care, recreational programming and leadership which is carried out by Beaches training institute. The day that Sally visited she found herself in the midst of a special magic show in the middle of the afternoon. Kids and parents alike were being entertained by these fabulous local performers. Sally was very impressed with the staff. The staff knew all of the children by name and children interacted with the staff just like there were long time old friends. They only crying and whining to be heard happened when the show was over and many of the parents wanted to take the kids out of the kids club for dinner. Although several parents were a bit embarrassed by these tantrums, Sally saw this behavior as a two thumbs up endorsement by the little ones.

Beside the Kids Boscobel, Beaches Boscobel has a kids pool complete with a giant, twisting water slide. There's even a smaller splash pool for toddlers. Besides making friends with other guests, kids can also make friends with that animals and birds in Beaches Boscobel's petting zoo and aviary located right in the resort. One of the favorite spots for the kids is the water trampoline just off shore on the beach. After watching kids giggling and bouncing on this thing all day long grown ups will wish they had half that energy.
The Kids Kamp at Beaches Boscobel is organized as follows.....

Tiny Town (0-3 years old) is open daily from 9am until 5pm. This area is further separated into a nursery area for the tiniest guests and a toddler play area for 2 and 3 year olds. There is a ratio of 3 children for every one adult staff member. Most of Beaches Ultra Nannies and babysitting staff have years of experience. Some have specialized child care certification and all are trained in CPR. Sally was very impressed with the care and warmth she witness. Beaches Resorts provides everything to keep the littlest of their guests pampered and comfortable. Toddlers enjoy stimulating fun activities under the watchful eyes of the Nannies. After 5pm these nannies are available for private babysitting at a cost of $7 per hour for up to three children. You can elect to have your children watched in the kids kamp, in your room or where ever you request. Babysitting is available 24 hours per day for individualized care at an additional fee.

Beaches Buddies (ages 4-7 years) is open from 9am until 10pm daily with a 50 minute break for dinner between 5pm and 5:55pm. Lunch and dinner are served and supervised by this Kids Boscobel coordinators. Activities include water sports, arts and craft, tennis, nature walks, video games, movies and parties.

Boscobel Bunch (ages 8-12 years)is also open from 9am until 10pm daily with a 50 minute break for dinner between 5pm and 5:55pm. Lunch and dinner are served and supervised by this Kids Boscobel coordinators. These older kids enjoy the same activities as the younger ones with the addition of snorkeling, jewelry making, pool olympics and evening beach bonfires.

Boscobel Teen Club is for ages 13-17 only. This bunch has their own club house where they can enjoy a game of pool or ping pong, participate in their own schedule of activities or just hang out with new friends. Kids of all ages can enjoy Beaches Xbox Game Oasis Center. Here you'll find the hottest new Xbox games, some games not yet available to the general public. And the best part.... no quarters allowed....it's all included.
