Beaches Sandy Bay offers the best values of all the Beaches properties. It is a one hour ride from Montego Bay airport and sits on a gorgeous stretch of Negril's famed seven mile beach. Vacationkids own Sally Black recently visited this wonderful, tropical playground for families. Two features immediately struck her about this property. First, this is a small, intimate resort.
There is one main pool area, seen in the photo here which is surrounded by the theater, main restaurant, sports bar and lobby. There are walkways leading to guest rooms which are housed in three story buildings that hug the shore.
Many of our clients, especially families with really small children, complain that some resorts are simply too big. For these people, Beaches Sandy Bay is just the right size. And just in case you you're concerned that you won't have enough space, restaurants or facilities, the guests at Beaches Sandy Bay have reciprocal privileges at Beaches Negril Resort which is just a few minutes down the road. Sandy Bay guests can enjoy all the facilities and restaurants at Beaches Negril. There is even complimentary shuttle bus transportation between both resorts for your convenience.

The second feature the impressed Sally is the way this resort is built, all rooms are very close to the ocean. Beaches Sandy Bay is built along a very long stretch of shoreline so all the rooms are close to the beach. By comparison, many other resorts are crowded next to one another, built on a small strip of ocean so theoretically your room could be a couple blocks walk from the beach.
And OH...what a beach it is! Beaches Sandy Bay is built along of the prime stretches of
Negril's beautiful seven mile beach. Here you will tickle your toes with soft, white sand,
enjoy the turquoise waters and marvel at breathtaking sunsets.

The rooms at Beaches Sandy Bay offer a bright tropical decor with all the comforts of home. Again, because of the architecture of this resort the majority of rooms offer ocean views. Most rooms at Beaches Sandy Bay
accommodate up to four people and offer either a king bed or two double beds. All rooms offer telephones, hair
dryers, personal safe, remote cable TV, air conditioning and ceiling fans. Junior and one bedroom suites are also available at an additional cost.

At Beaches Sandy Bay enjoy canoes, kayaks, water trykes, water skiing, sail boats, hobie cats, snorkeling, glass bottom boat rides...even Scuba diving is included. Guests 12 and older must complete a three hour dive safety course in the pool. Afterwards they can enjoy one free tank dive per day visiting famed area dive sites. On land enjoy tennis, basketball, volleyball, billiards, shuffleboard and lawn chess. Three ocean view restaurants serving everything from traditional Italian, authentic Jamaican cuisine to a beach side grill which stays open until the wee hours of the morning. Guests will also enjoy nightly entertainment and themed parties. And just in case all this wasn't enough, simply hop the five minute shuttle bus to Beaches Negril and enjoy full privileges at this fine Beaches Resort too.

As with all Beaches Resorts, kids of all ages are well looked after. Beaches Sandy Bay offers ultra Nannies in their nursery open from 9am-5pm daily for infants up to age 3.
Little ones enjoy fun with their favorite Sesame Street friends under the watchful care of their nannies. Exploring with Grover, baking with Cookie Monster, dancing with Zoe and stories with Elmo are all in a day.
Kids 4-12 years old have their own Kids Kamp enjoying activities like arts and crafts, Ice cream parties, Sing along, Face painting, Pajama parties, Sand castle contests, Talent shows, Treasure hunts, Theme parties and plenty of Beach activities.
Teens have their own fun with the Xbox Game Oasis Center, Reggae dances, Group water sports, Boat cruises, Pool olympics, Tennis clinics, Talent shows, Karaoke & disco,
Dance parties and Movies...no wonder the kids will give you a hard time about going home.
