Starfish Trelawny resort is a fabulous family resort associated with the Sperclubs chain of fine hotels, a leader in Caribbean vacations for over 25 years. This four star, 350 room resort is located in Falmouth, Jamaica situated between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios. It's about a 45-60 minute ride from the airport. Vacationkids Sally Black and Jan McAuley visited this resort in 2001 as it was undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation gearing up for lots of family fun. This resort is the perfect choice for families looking for lots of activity

Starfish Trelawny resort offers every activity imaginable to keep every member of the family happy. Land lovers will enjoy four lit tennis courts, badminton, beach volleyball, mini golf, sumo wrestling, bouncy boxing, bingo, shuffleboard, dars, table tennis, billards and a game arcade open from 8am-2am daily. There is even a synthetic ice skating rink and a rock climbing wall. Have an energectic work out at their fully equipped gym or pamper yourself with a treatment at their relaxing spa. Not enough to keep you busy? Well, how about a circus workshop featuring lessons on the flying trapeze, trampoline clinics or a juggling workshop? The circus workhops are open 9:30am to 11:30am for kids ages 4-12 years of age then re-opens between the hours of 3-6pm so teens and adults can try their hand at big top tricks. After your busy day, make sure you stop by their internet center so you can send your friends and family back home a "wish you were here" email.

If your family enjoys being part of the wet set then you'll have a splashing good time at Starfish trelawny. The resort boasts a 1,400 foot private white sand beach and if this isn't enough ocean fun for you, how about a private island loaded with water sports fun like sunfish sailing, windsurfing and kayaking complete with professional instruction. Also available for a fee you'll find scuba diving classes, water skiing, power boat rides, parasailing, snorkeling trips, banana boats and jetskis.

Just in case you need some extra wet and wild fun the Starfish Trelawny offers four swimming pools, two cold jacuzzis and three hot tubs not to mention their own water slide.

Every smart parent knows they don't have fun on vacation unless their kids are having fun. At Starfish Trelawny we promise, you'll never hear those fateful, whiney words "I'm bored". This resort was built with kids in mind.

The Seahorse Bab-e-care program offers personalized babysitting for children ages 6 months thru three years of age. It is open daily from 9am-5pm for daytime session, closes for dinner break and then re-opens in the evening from 6pm until midnight. It ooffers age appropriate activities including finger painting, crafts, Muppets show, jungle gym playground, kidicize pool and a lot more under the watchful eye of specially trained nannies. The cost for the Seahorse infant nursery program is $30 for the daytime session and $25.00 for the evening session. A day's notice is required and the fees are paid directly at the hotel.
Starfish kids club is open daily from 9am until 9pm for kids ages 4-12 years at a cost of $5.00 per day. Kids are broken down according to ages with The Seashell clubfor kids ages 4-7 and The Dolphin club for kids 8 thru 12. There are different activities scheduled every day such as arts & crafts, competitions, games, pool and skating times as well as evening entertainment. Private evening babysitting for this age group children is available at a cost of $5 per child per hour for a minimum of 2 hours with the rate increasing to $7 per child per hour after midnight.
Teens over 13 are welcome to participate with the adult activities including rock climbing, water sports, game arcade, circus classes and ice skating. Believe us, there will be little time for boredom so you parents will be happy.

The fun doesn't stop just because the sun goes down. Bubbles disco is open every night of the week. Early evening is the time for kids and teens. Then it re-opens at 10:30pm for grown up fun and doesn't close until the last person leaves. There's also a piano bar 5 nights per week and karaoke for the other two nights for plenty of sing along fun. Calypso and Reggae dancing classes are held once a week as well as themed party nights.

The Starfish Trelawny considers kids to be under the age of 13...kids 14 and older are considered adults and must pay adult rates. The standard mountain and ocean view rooms at the Starfish Trelawny are of average size and offer either one king or a double and twin bed combination. This means they will accommodate a maximun of three people...either 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child. Room ammenities include tv, telephone, coffee maker, minibar,air conditioning, CD clock radio and private balcony.
There are also private cottages available. These cottages are garden view and are located on ground level near the pool area. These rooms are a bit larger and contain the same ammenities. Maximun occupance allowed in the cottages is either 3 adults OR 2 adults and two children age 13 or younger.

The Starfish Trelawny resort offers different levels of service for it's guests. As we tried to mention in our review, with this program there are extra fees and service charges for certain things like the kids club. Their inclusive program includes...
