The Barcelo Bavaro Family Deluxe is one of the newest additions to
the Barcelo Bavaro Resort Convention Center Golf & Casino complex. This large resort complex encompasses over seven square miles, including two miles worth of Bavaro Beach...voted one of the most beautiful beaches on the planet by National Geographic. Lined with tall shady palm trees and protected by a large coral reef it's a perfect spot for family beach vacation fun. And now, thanks to the innovative design of Barcelo resorts, large and extended families can enjoy all of this beauty and fun - Together. When Vacationkids heard we now have a great new spot to send families with 3 and 4 kids, we sent our own Sally Black to go check it out.

The Barcelo Bavaro Family Deluxe Resort is located a short 9 miles from Punta Cana airport. Once again, it is part of the Barcelo Bavaro Resort Complex and Convention Center. This complex holds several large resorts...it's a big area people! Many of the travel brochures sell this property as a separate hotel but we like to think of the Family Deluxe Suites as just one section of a much larger resort...a resort within a resort if you will. That is because families staying at the Barcelo Bavaro family deluxe can use all the facilities throughout the rest of the Barcelo Bavaro Beach
Resort complex - more on this later.
The Barcelo Bavaro Family Deluxe section of this complex consists of 180 suites built in 3 and 4 story building units. It is nestled between the main resort lobby area and the signature P.B.Dye 18 hole golf course. The Barcelo Bavaro Family Deluxe is built surrounding a large waterpark with views extending onto the golf course. IMPORTANT point to note here - The Barcelo Bavaro Family Deluxe is NOT located directly on the beach as illustration at the very top of this page demonstrates. There are large golf cart trams very few minutes that conveniently shuttle Barcelo Bavaro Family Deluxe guests to the beach and all points in the resort complex. If you choose to walk, it's a short 2 minute stroll mostly under covered walkways.

The centerpiece at the Barcelo Bavaro Family Deluxe Resort is most certainly their waterpark. It offers hours of wet, cool fun in the sun for little swimmers and their families. Sally told us this waterpark is really geared for younger swimmers with it's zero entry and smaller slides. Parents can join in the fun with their little ones but tweens and teens would probably not be impressed. There is no regular pool directly in the Barcelo Bavaro Family Deluxe but guests are free to use any of the pools within the Barcelo Bavaro Deluxe complex.

The very, very most best-est part of the Barcelo Bavaro Family Deluxe resort is their family suite rooms. We here at Vacationkids are SO excited because we know our parents are going to Love these rooms. Check out the floor plan...all of these family suites offer this same lay out. Basically it is one room with two pilpillow topuble beds and patio connected by a privacy door to a pilpillow topng room for parents. The king room has a large terrace with outdoor jacuzzi. There are two bathrooms and ammamenitiesch as air conditioning, mini-bar, safe deposit box, heating, telephone, ironing board, radio, DVD player, alarm clock, coffee/tea maker, shower, internet access: ($), television, maid service, room service (limited),balcony or patio with jacuzzi, haihair dryermoke detector, iron and ceiling fan. These rooms can sleep a maximum of 6 persons whether they are adults or children. Most importantly these suites offer privacy and intimacy for parents with lots of kids space.

The family suites at the Barcelo Bavaro Family Deluxe offer lots of comfortable family friendly space with all the latest technologic advancements.
Family suites include two 32 inch LCD televisions with USB ports, incorporated DVD, video on demand, high-speed WiFi access and iPod/MP3 connections.

Guests of the Barcelo Bavaro Family Deluxe resort will enjoy a total of 15 restaurants...4 buffets, 2 specialty sea food and stesteak houseffets, 1 grill, 7 ala carte restaurants and 1 24 hour snack bar. Within the complex there are 12 bars serving unlimited national and international drinks. There are 4 pools within the complex, theatres for nightly entertainment and Casino. Kids ages 4-12 years of age can head to the supervised Barcy Kids' Club for playground and craft fun. Families looking to spend time together include tennis, kayaking, mini golf, baseball and soccer fields.
