The Holiday Inn Sunspree resort in Aruba consists of three seven story buildings...The Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao buildings. All are stroller friendly and have elevator for easy access. There are paths and walkways connecting all three buildings with the lobby, restaurants, pools, beach and main public areas making this property very easy to navigate.

Many major resorts in Aruba are located across the street from the beach but not this one. It is located directly on one of the most beautiful stretches of Aruba's Palm beach. In addition there is a sidewalk area along this stretch of beach so that resort guests can walk/jog/explore along at their leisure. Sally noted sidewalk became particularly popular in the evening with families out for good night stroll.

families. Guests can enjoy many of the watersport and the red sail dive shop is located adjacent to the Holiday Inn Sunspree. Here guests can organize boating, diving and snorkeling excursions (fee). Guests can pump iron in the newly renovated health club, get a relaxing massage at the Intermezzo Spa (fee), shop for souvenirs in one of our many retail stores or "let it ride" on the new tables in the Excelsior Casino with roulette, craps, Caribbean poker, Black Jack, horse racing, sports book and lots & lots of slots. This resort is one of the few in Aruba that has it's own poker room for guests to play one another face to face.

Families staying at the Holiday Inn Sunspree resort have two choices when it comes to making reservations...EP or All Inclusive.
With the EP plan basically means hotel stay only and Children 17 years or younger can stay and play for free in the same room with their parents. You're responsible for paying your own meals, drinks and entertainment costs. Aruba is a small, easily accessible island so many families do opt to rent a car to get around. There are all types of fine dining choices as well as a plethora of fast food restaurants that you'll know from back in the States. If you're kids are small and don't eat much or if your family members are not bar drinkers then this is a good way to save.
Families staying at the Holiday Inn Sunspree can also turn their stay into an all inclusive stay. Optional All-Inclusive Plan featuring all meals (surcharges apply for certain menu items), unlimited local brand drinks - both alcoholic and non alcoholic, snacks, snorkel equipment, paddle boats and beginners windsurfing lessons.

The Holiday Inn Sunspree Aruba offers families their choice between Standard and superior rooms. The difference between the Standard and Superior is the
location of the room in the resort. Standard rooms face
the garden offering land views and the superior rooms offer water views.
STANDARD & SUPERIOR ROOMS, are equipped with either 2
extra-long double beds with an easy chair or one king bed with a
double sized pull out sofa bed. Amenities for all rooms include radio/alarm clock,
cable TV with optional movies, direct dial telephone w/
data port, hairdryer, full-sized iron & ironing board,
shower-bath, refrigerators (un-stocked), coffee/tea maker
with coffee supplies delivered daily.
Refrigerators are available on a limited basis and can be
requested at check-in. There is a charge for the rental.
Baby cribs & rollaway beds are complimentary and can be requested.

Holiday Inn Sunspree Aruba offers their littlest guests the KidSpree Vacation club which is a free, supervised, kids club program from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily, for ages 4-11. Different indoor and outdoor activities are planned daily. Kids enrolled in the KidSpree program are split into four age groups so that they may enjoy age appropriate activities such as beach tennis, face & T-shirt painting, movies, excursions, board games, play garden, sand castle building and lots more!
There is a full, indoor play area and even an arcade. KidSpree staff and hotel babysitters are required to carry CPR and first aid certification. For younger children or parents who want individualized care babysitting services can be arranged with concierge 24 hours in advance. The fee is $8/hr(and after midnight the rate increase to $12)

The Holiday Inn Sunspree in Aruba is a great choice for families taking summer vacations who might be concerned about huricanes. The Caribbean huricane season generally runs from June though October. It's a simple matter of geography but the island of Aruba seldom gets bothered by summer hurricanes. The island's climate is dryer and some areas of the island have a more desert like appearance to prove it.
